To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

  • Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
  • Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
  • Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

alcin everyone I mention it to says they loved them, so why did heinz stop doing them Sad agree that it's not right taste if you make your own

Ready salted chipsticks not that I say that every time on these posts, but my tablet suggested chipsticks after I wrote ready salted!

Opal fruits - they didn't change the name, they created a whole new product and tried to pass it off as opal fruits. They even got rid of the lemon which was the best flavour!

SpackenDeDoich · 05/03/2017 12:59

Nuites Inndiennes perfume Sad
And Cabanas.

Tesco did a pack of 4 frozen pizzas, they were only £1 I think, bigger than normal cheap pack of 4 pizzas and they had lots of herbs on top, tasted amazing.

Also Tesco, value chilli bean pasties, £1 for a box of 2. They were mixed beans in a sauce, ever so slight hint of heat, cooked really well. They disappeared before Christmas 2015 and I thought it was to make room for the Christmas stuff, but they never came back Sad and yes, I still look for them!

Vesta Chicken Supreme - this was my favourite meal throughout childhood (even though the little cubes of chicken tasted like cardboard) - they still do a chow main but it's not as good.

Clinique used to do an amazing liquid eyeliner - trouble is it lasted so long when I went to replace it they had discontinued - I still use the brush part for other eyeliners - risking infection probably .

Oh, for a chocolate Lovely. Can't think why these were discontinued. They were delicious straight out the freezer too.
Fullars large coffee and walnut cake. Amazing icing. Think it might have been in Scotland only. And Ceylon Tea Centres.Sad

RitaMills · 05/03/2017 13:02

Benefit Bella Bamba blush
Mingles

I noticed upthread Nina by Nina Ricci had been discontinued, that was the perfum of my teenage years, I can close my eyes and actually smell it now. I've not wore it for years and years but I'm sad it's gone.

The fondant pigs sound good, I've never noticed them before. I would actually DIE if they took away my Percy pigs though. Shock

Cheese and pickle sandwich at Greggs. Veg deli wrap at McDonalds. The worst fast food crime though was the abolition of the veggie wrap at KFC. A staple of student life! A rice box with a corn cob is the best offering now 🙄

BretonRose · 05/03/2017 13:06

Me too Heron, it was amazing. Everything else pales by comparison.

AnoiseAnnoysanOyster · 05/03/2017 13:08

All my favourite chocs have gone.

What really gives me rage tho is dry shampoo for red hair, wish they would bring it back

BellMcEnd · 05/03/2017 13:21

Snugglysnerd Asda's lentil hash was bloody lush. I pretty much existed on that and beer for the whole of my student life.

Popkids · 05/03/2017 13:23

Citrus Spring especially the lime flavour. Properly refreshing and not too sweet. Still holding the flame 10 years on...

Onynx · 05/03/2017 13:30

Linda McCarthney Cannelloni and the original Nina perfume😪

JessicaEccles · 05/03/2017 13:33

Fendi Donna perfume.
Body shop seaweed shampoo. Cocoa butter skin cream that ever so slightly coloured your skin.
Thontons original recipe coffee creams.
Rip strawberry pigs - one of them and a fondant mouse was my Saturday treat Confused why must the modern world torment us so?
