To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

• Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
• Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
• Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

Bergasol suntan lotions and oils - only time I ever got a decent tan!

M&S Duchesse Potatoes - too fiddly to make myself, these were fab.

M&S Chicken Cordon Bleu - not just them who have discontinued these, can only find them made with 'formed' ham which I hate.

Blocks of Neapolitan ice cream which were vanilla, strawberry and pistachio (instead of nasty fake chocolate!).

The Easter eggs you could get which looked like a real egg but were chocolate inside.

Never going to get through the whole thread but pleased to see early mentions of Secret bars and Gypsy Creams!

I'll throw in Cadbury's Biarritz.

I also recall Banana Bubbles but in low regard!! Bleurgh!

Sainsbury's have Belgian chocolate and coconuts cookies in their Finest bakery range. Delicious.

@SloanyAnne, knew it was too good to be true. sigh

'Define' perfume from Next - I always have trouble finding perfumes as nose is a bit sensitive. This was great - then they stopped doing it!

Ooh, I just remembered. A few years ago Ferrero Rocher did a minty one that had a pure green liquid mint centre - they were to die for - must have been limited edition though.

I miss echo biscuits they were tasty :(

Potato Puffs, Mint Cracknel, Wimpy - remember the rum baba? Naturally Yours cleanser/toner/moisturiser, BK Chicken Flamer, caramel flavoured hard pillows in the big jars, sweet peanuts - outer shell hard caramel, inside, chopped salty peanuts also menthol and eucalyptus, liquorice torpedoes, sherbet pips - you bought a quarter pound. Pink panther bar, toffee flavoured gums. I used to have a beigey, shimmery eyeshadow by rimmel which I've never been able to replace, I stopped wearing makeup after buying every other beigey shimmery eyeshadow in the world without success.

@glitterglitters, you're right, I had forgotten the feet lollies had chocolate toes back in the day! That's made me sad now realising they are not 'back' after all

Thanks Glom I was trying to remember what those lollies were called. There were orangeade ones too, if I remember right.

Another one for Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt! To be honest, at first when it stopped appearing in Asda I thought I had just eaten it all (I was pregnant!!) and then I realised it was never coming back...

Not sure if they've been mentioned but I loved beer bottles, a jelly sweet like cola bottles but tasting of beer. The good old 80's!

Mars delight

As I was scrolling through, I noticed lots of products listed that I hadn't even realised had been discontinued years ago!

Oh yes, Mars delights were amazing!

Oh i forgot about Mars Delight. They were nice. I last had one about 12 years ago.

I remember one Leeds festival, mars were giving out mars delights all weekend. I was so happy, drunk and full of chocolate

Does anyone remember the Mars limited edition which was dark chocolate and I think the filling was slightly different too? I loved those but I think they were only available for a short time. They were definitely around in 1997 when I was pregnant because I suffered horribly from morning sickness initially but once that had stopped, my work colleague bought me 6 Mars to celebrate!

Impulse Goddess and the 02 one. Literally all I smelt like in my 20s.

M&S chicken and kale salad with coconut and peanut dressing, and their chicken and watercress sandwiches with the yogurt dressing.

Waitrose ham hock and sugar snap salad.

My favourite lunches always seem to disappear.

Oh, and Sainsbury's focaccia pizzas. The square ones topped with loads of herby mushrooms.
