To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

• Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
• Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
• Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

Pacers, that's a blast from the past!

Chocolate and raisin boasters biscuits. Buttery biscuit with chunks of chocolate in and the texture of the raisins. My student time treat.

Nutty bars
M and S seafood cocktail low cal sandwich
M and S veggie stew with dumplings
Butterscotch pie filling (to make butterscotch meringue instead of lemon meringue)
Pacers
Boots No 17 mascara - bit like Benefit They're Real or whatever it's called. They've buggered about with the No17 version and it's nowhere near as good.

M and S walnut deep intensive hair conditioner

Body moisturiser from Boots in vanilla - smelled like milk gums. Delish!

Nutty bars were yum!

Pacers weren't always stripy. That was when they went modern.....beginning of the end.

A quarter of Plain Janes please.

Estee Lauder platinum highlighter powder. Gutted when they discontinued it.

Cadbury's hazelnut whirls (from the Roses tins). You could buy them in a box on their own in our local Wilko's a few years back. Scrummy. Would have to buy a whole tin of Roses for about 4 hazelnut whirls now, and get all those other ones I don't like - strawberry creme (yuk) and toffees

Still can't get over Toni and Guy Twist it Curl Balm. Never will.

There is a web site called doyouremember where there are loads of sweeties and drinks and all sorts listed, I just found the drink it was called Meri Mate!

Cadbury's Aztec bars. Why they've never brought them back is beyond me. Basically a Mars Bar, but much nicer, with Cadbury's chocolate. l still yearn for them.

Golden Fry Onion Gravy Powder... I used it ever since I got married -- it got harder and harder to track down, and then the bastards discontinued it

ArchNotImpudent I can still get the Levi Roots Reggae Reggae Sauce - perhaps it is just your supermarket that doesn't do it? I've bought it from Morrisons (online) and from Ocado. Just as well, DH would be shattered it he couldn't get it! I buy a dozen bottles at a time when it is on offer...

Christ, I've found my people. Would do quite a lot for a Pacer or a banana toffo.

My big one is perfumes. My mother had a beautiful suntan or aftersun scent deep in the 1970s, have never been able to replicate it. And the Body Shop's Ayurveda Pillow Spray Earth - just the absolute perfect scent for me. Never found anything remotely like it

ALMAY lipstick POPPY - have spent a fortune since the Seventies, trying in vain to replicate this colour!

And btw RitaMills, I will join you in jumping off the roof should M&S Percy Pigs disappear!
