To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

• Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
• Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
• Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

I didn't realise Neapolitans had been discontinued and now I know, having not thought about them for years, I really really want some.

Revlon Flex Shampoo and conditioner. Smellt amazing. They brought it back a few years ago but it didn't smell the same, the bastards.

Prescriptives custom blend foundation and photochrome foundation. Just perfect. Bring it back Estee Lauder :(

Laura Mercier ' Neroli' perfume, I wore this on my wedding day and its been discontinued, twas lovely

Mignon Morceaux, I need to find out more about this Waitrose alternative please?

Max Factor 185 Lipfinity. The loveliest lipstick ever invented.

'Secret' bars. Omg, they were amazing, and I credit at least seven stone of my childhood obesity to them! No-one I know remembers them but they were a delicious gooey mousse with birds nest like chocolate encasing it, them, a cherry cola and Pizza flavoured crisps! that was late 80's early 90's..... Oooh and hated them changing Mintolas to After Eight chocolates, yes ok they taste very similiar, but not exactly the same! I feel for anyone who has a favourite product discontinued!!!
Also hate when they changed Creme Eggs, were another favourite, now they taste plastic-y! :-(

I also loved Cadbury's Super Mousse as a child.... also Aztec bars, Amazin Raisin, Triffiks and my all time fave - Texan the mighty chew....

ps they keep making our chocolate smaller and adding crap that changes the taste, why don't they ask us if we would be willing to pay more? I know I would happily pay a wee extra for a treat thats nice, than guy crap where they have cut corners and made it taste like poo.

I used to love opposite an actual, genuine, stuck in the 80s Wimpy. It's been 3 years since I moved and it's still there, and still open.

I miss a lot of the same things as PPs have mentioned:
Tab Clear. I was obsessed with the stuff.
Spira.
Mingles.
BK veggie whopper

And, Hooded skull ice lolly (don't know if that's what it was actually called or just what we called it)
Mintola/mint munchies

I was so happy when they bought Wispa back though. I live in hope that they bring back Spira next.

Also, flaming hot monster munch came back for a bit, have they gone again or are they still available?!?

M & S One cup Extra Strong Tea Bags have been discontinued followed the repackaging exercise on the rest of the range!! Have tried all the tea companies and they don't have a replacement!

M&S Thousand Island Dressing (in the tub , they might still do the 4 pack but I don't want the other ones)

Ive stopped buying tins of sweets particularly at Christmas we bought one this year (quality street) its still 3/4 full in the press they are just not the same. All of the sweet tins roses etc have stopped soing my faves so just will stop buying and buy other treats instead.

Asda cherry chocolate crunch ice-cream and their lemon doughnuts 😋

Oh and I really miss Fat Frogs

Oh and funny feet ice cream Wight he chocolate toes and zaps and those weird mini ice-cream bites you used to get in a bag.

And pizza rolls

I remember Amazin' Raisin and Milk Tray bars and still miss them.

Also loved Cadbury's Top Deck which was a bar with 3 layers of dark, white and milk choc stuck together. Australia and South Africa appear to still make them but the price and postage is prohibitive.

And not a product but jokes on ice cream sticks.

Pears soap, they changed the formula about 10 years ago. It used to be light amber and rosemary and cedarish but now it is school toilet disinfectant.

Horlicks chocolate bars. So malty and comforting.

The Amazing Baking Boys Co. made the most gorgeous flapjacks in Tesco, Asda, Morrisons etc about two years ago, soft gooey flapjacks with a thick line of strawberry jam running down the middle. They tasted really fresh and fruity - not synthetic at all. I think they've changed name now. Some supermarkets still advertise them on site but won't sell them, and they aren't in any store I've visited. Miss them, could eat a whole box in one sitting

I will never ever ever get over the loss of proper Pears soap I still can't really accept it.

And M&S little individual coconut and raspberry cakes. Yum.
