To be heartbroken at yet ANOTHER fave product being discontinued?

I have just discovered Thorntons have discontinued their strawberry fondant chocolate pigs, and I am quite frankly devastated. These have been my fave little treat since I was about 12, and now they are no more!

It's the latest in a long line of favourite products being discontinued - does anyone else get unreasonably irritated by this?! I'll start a list, feel free to add to it...

  • Thorntons strawberry fondant pigs (sob)
  • Benefit 'So Hooked on Carmella' perfume
  • Lush Aqua Mirabilis (my thighs will never be the same again)

Ready Salted Chipsticks were amazing. Haven't seen them for years.

In perfume, why the hell did they stop making Gucci Envy? That was a king amongst perfumes.

CoodleMoodle · 05/03/2017 18:08

BBQ flavour Wotsits. I can't stand the cheese ones. The prawn ones were okay, but they've gone too.

And Irn Bru bars.

HelenaDove · 05/03/2017 18:12

Mine is very recent. Our local supermarkets arent stocking the organic Weetabix anymore. They have got these flavoured ones in instead called Additions. I cant have them because they have too much sugar in them. The organic one is a nicer consistency I tried the Weetabix Protein and im not keen on that either.

Am currently eating Sainsburys own brand.

Miserylovescompany2 · 05/03/2017 18:13

I can remember the fruity ones yellow not the mint ones...they did exist though. Can't remember them being 3p though!

Ruhrpott · 05/03/2017 18:19

Biotex, grotbuster, fairy household green soap and pudding, chips and gravy from the chippy. I live in Wales now and it's not the same at the chippy ☹️

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 05/03/2017 18:21

The original Touche Eclat foundation.

Why?

NapoleonsNose · 05/03/2017 18:27

Body Shop Japanese Washing Grains. Were fab for sloughing off dry skin. Not managed to find another scrub as good.

MumBod · 05/03/2017 18:28

Gold Cup bars.

Linda McCartney vegi bakes - they were a qourn base, with a mozzarella and tomato sauce filling, all covered in breadcrumbs.

Sainsbury's vegi mushroom and potato bakes. A bit like a rosti with a creamy mushroom filling.

Sainsbury's vegetarian roll. Like a big sausage roll, but with a nut roast style filling.

I was a vegetarian in the early nineties, and Sainsbury's vegi food was the nuts.

whirlygirly · 05/03/2017 18:30

Calvin Klein truth perfume
Fuse bars
Waitrose provolone and roasted veg sandwiches
Old school natural collection shampoos and conditioners from boots. Discontinued yonks ago and I still miss the water fruits one.

Lilaclily · 05/03/2017 18:30

I miss m & s salmon and dill salad, the dressing was so nice
Plus their vegetable cous cous wrap , the wrap bit was orangey coloured

BellMcEnd · 05/03/2017 18:31

Oooooo fruity toffos! They were ace. A banana one pulled one of my (baby) teeth out on the way to Broadstairs.

adaisychain · 05/03/2017 18:36

I had tooty frooties the other day!

Two more food ones-

Mojo chews- especially spearmint and banana

Fiendish feet yoghurts

And a non-food one for once!

MAC eyeshadow in surreal.

Robstersgirl · 05/03/2017 18:38

The B by Superdrug blusher. Sad

hoopdeloop · 05/03/2017 18:39

I miss cheesey niknaks that were in the yellow packet. If I concentrate I can still remember the taste!

Also starburst joosters!

Robstersgirl · 05/03/2017 18:41

Birds Instant Hot Crunch puddings, they were sublime. Banana water with crunchy bits. Nom.

Hidingtonothing · 05/03/2017 18:41

Macintosh's Golden Cup, Rowntrees Nutty bars, the pale purple Herbal Essences and Organics shampoos, both smelt divine Sad

emma6776 · 05/03/2017 18:43

L'Oréal Maquisuperb foundation
Clinique Duperfit foundation
Pyramints
Findas crispy pancakes (cheese ones)
Greggs chocolate ginger squares
Yardley fake tan
Listenine pre-whitening rinse with shit-tonnes of peroxide - used to get American friends to send it over but they can't get hold of it anymore sob.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 05/03/2017 18:47

I have never got over the loss of Piglet crisps & Pyramints. Every Friday when my mum did the 'big shop' I was treated to one of each. It was a sad sad day when they vanished from the shelves forever Sad

As PP say Cadburys. A whole nut bar used to be my treat on Easter Sunday after no chocolate during lent.
Not sure what I'll do this year, tried Green & Black's and last year but it's just too proper, real chocolate.

Beedoo123 · 05/03/2017 18:53

Not RTFT but proper pink germolene!!

ProseccoandPizza · 05/03/2017 18:56

Walkers lamb and mint sensations
Toffos both mint and fruit flavoured.
Spira bars.

Benefit perfect 10 - way ahead of the contouring phase.
Also coralista from Benefit.
Boujouis - coupe d'theatre mascara.

Dominos missisipi mud pies

M&S chicken fajitas and black forest cookies.

bettycat81 · 05/03/2017 19:10

Chocolate Philly

bastedyoungturkey · 05/03/2017 19:13

Phileas fogg snacks used to do Pizza thingies and they were delicious. More recently they used to do nacho cheese flavoured bubble chips but those have gone now too.

Mostly I pine for crisps of the past.

Also Four cheese and red onion sensations. The cheese and chutney ones of today are just NOT the same.

RubyGoat · 05/03/2017 19:13

Body Shop beechwood handled hairbrush with the metal pins. My hair was long, silky, thick & fabulous. Then the bastards L'Oreal discontinued them & my hair went to hell & never came back. I sport a pixie cut these days...

Also, Seabrook crisps used to do an Indian Tandoori flavour. It was lush, haven't seen it in in about 20 years.
