You're pretty right cozie. A president doesn't have to be convicted of a crime, just that Congress feels there's enough evidence to convict. But it has to be equal to a 'high crime or misdemeanor', and adultery or sexual shenanigans isn't either of those.
During the Lewinsky situation the GOP tried to say that Bill should be impeached solely based on his affair with Lewinsky as it 'endangered the presidency' as an extramarital affair could put the president at risk of blackmail, but it was made pretty clear by Democrats in Congress (and legal experts) that marital infidelity was a 'personal matter', it did not affect the president's ability to carry out his duties, did not endanger the presidency, and was not an impeachable offense. In the end the GOP had to accept defeat on that particular grounds for impeachment. The GOP would have a field day if the Dems tried to impeach Trump for sexual misconduct alone.
Naturally I'm talking about consensual relations with both parties being over age.
On the other subject Lweji, are people on that forum seriously saying that since there are no 'nicknames' for Trump it must mean that he's doing a good job? I'd laugh if it weren't so pathetic.
