AIBU to cook a cottage pie now, give the kids some, and then bung it back in the oven later for grown ups?

I seem to remember something about not cooking meat twice. Is that an old wives tale?

I know crystal. Fuck knows what all those who say that reheating will make you ill are doing.

I reheat stuff, leave it out overnight or go over use by dates all the time, and am never I'll.

Having seen my exH hospitalised by food poisoning from rice I can assure you crytslgal that it is a thing.

In fairness though that was from a buffet where the rice had been kept at perfect germ-breeding temperature under a lamp for goodness knows how long.

If, as you say, it's reheated properly to kill all the nasties, it's fine.
