cussing you're definitely not alone. It feels very destabilising to be gaslit by the president and his administration and it's baffling that the speech was so well received.
I caught some of the media show on radio 4 and I think they had someone who either was or worked for a previous press secretary (didn't quite catch that bit). He said it was a much more measured tone but thought it was too optimistic to hope that it continued and that SCROTUS had suddenly changed overnight.
I feel a bit like Bruce Willis in the sixth sense - "I see lies and dishonesty", rather than dead people - but it's comforting to know others can see it too!
