I don't want to sound rude, Donald, but where's the money coming from to pay for all this?

Tanks and planes don't grow on trees.

Strangely, this is Theresa May at PMQs..

"We now know, however, that Labour has a different sort of phrase for its approach to these things. Remember when it used to talk about “boom and bust”? Now it is borrow and bankrupt"

Trump just said press "shouldn't be allowed to use sources unless they use somebody's name." YOUR SENIOR AIDES SPUN US ON BACKGROUND TODAY.

cozietoesie · 24/02/2017 16:07

I'll be interested to see how CalExit does after this. Smile

Roussette · 24/02/2017 16:07

I think Pres Bannon has given him some new soundbites. Now bigging up the NRA who spent millions on his campaign

He's now making out he is so popular - a strong party, growing numbers etc.

Here's President of the US recommending a clearly unconstitutional ban on anonymous sources, day after Bannon said Trump speeches are policy pic.twitter.com/l7VS1EaTMG

FML he's back to guns.

GingerIvy · 24/02/2017 16:08

Please note this phrase: day after Bannon said Trump speeches are policy

What is really getting on my tits now is how he says everything three times

so true
so true

I think the 3 x repetition is an established rherorical technique, eg
education
education
education

cozietoesie · 24/02/2017 16:10

Ginger, Ginger. They'll only be 'policy' if they're saying the right thing. At the time, that is. Grin

"Lock her up!".

Can you actually believe that we have the president of the USA inciting crowds to chant against a civilian?

Lweji · 24/02/2017 16:11

The forgotten... again.

He just repeats the same clichés again and again and again.

Screams of "lock her up". Do they mean "lock Donald up"?

"Or the blood, or the colour, of the blood we bleed." Great sentence. And hopefully we won't get to bleed. What is he saying?

We are all equal.
Mentions of religious leaders: priests, rabbis, ministers. Did I notice an absence of imams?

cozietoesie · 24/02/2017 16:11

Stump speech, Lweji.

Lweji · 24/02/2017 16:14

Yes, it's the same speech over and over again. Mostly campaign promises. Again and again.

It's even worse when he's had a rally just a few days ago. What for?

amispartacus · 24/02/2017 16:15

Steel. Has he done that one yet?

What for?

To try to whip up fervour and hide the lack of real things happening.

And to keep 45 happy. That old adulation fix. Smile

repeating the same phrases, like mantra's people feel comforted, the words evoke certain feelings, each time it's repeated the feelings are strengthened.
If you're swept away by emotion there is less cognitive energy available for any critical thinking.

I guess it works in the other direction to, everytime I see and hear him I am more and more revolted, I suppose I'm not being rational eitherConfused

Ha, have you seen the stuff on a Twitter about the little Russia flags being handed out at CPAC for Trump's speech? Apparently staffers are frantically trying to confiscate them 😂😂😂
