Crisp sandwich - normal, right?

I LOVE a crisp sandwich. Especially with salt n vinegar crisps. Was thinking I'd love one earlier (but no crisps in the house) and then remembered a friend thinking I was totally bonkers for having crisps in a sandwich.

Anyone else? Or is my friend right and I'm totally bonkers...?!

On that note, any other 'out of the norm' sandwich fillings you all in enjoy?

Nutella and walkers ready salted is one of my favourite combinations... probably less acceptable now I'm not pregnant...

Thick white bread, lots of butter and cheese and onion crisps. I might get some for lunch.

I think crisps offer texture and salt - a great addition to most sandwiches.

Tuna Mayo sandwich with salt and vinegar crisps are my culinary masterpiece. Salt and vinegar mini chips are the best crisps to use but any s&v will do.

Wotsits and mayo in a white roll come a close second.

No YANBU totally normal! It may be too late now, but I am debating whether to go get a crisp butty.

Personal fave is Warburtons - very fresh, real butter and Walkers Salt and Vinegar crisps.

I always like the crisps on the side so I can add them to a sandwich, but my favourite home made sandwich is sliced turkey with mayo on thin white bread and a packet of salt n vinegar squares on the side.

I love roast beef and horseradish on white bread and cheese and Branson as well.

I like Walkers cheese and onion with a bit of salad cream in it.
One of my favourite fillings is garden peas smothered in salad cream.

Who remembers monster munch crisps?

Ready salted or salt and vinegar on soft white bread with mayo! Can't have crisp buttie without Mayo!!!!!! (And no salad cream is definitely NOT an acceptable alternative!)

My favourite is egg mayo with a couple of sliced cherry tomatoes and cheese and onion crisps. Has to be cheese and onion.

Noooo, Lucy, far too stodgy! I am the biggest fan of xmas pud, but it must only be sandwiched in cream. Ds1, on the other hand, had stollen on top of porridge the other day - equally stodgtastic.

That takes me back to when i was a little girl. Crisp sandwiches or Banana butties yaaay so yummy

I think I would have loved it as a child but now the thought of carbs with more carbs makes me feel a bit queasy.

At my cousin's wedding a few months ago at the end of the noght, they handed out little individual bags with two slices of bread, butter pats and crisps. We were all there making up our sandwches at midnight

My Christmas favourite is turkey sandwich, with bread sauce and ready salted crisps. My mouth is now watering, only ten months to go....

When I was 18 I used to take a brie sandwich to work and a pack of beef discos and I'd put the discos on top of the brie and crunch it down with the top piece of bread.
