Crisp sandwich - normal, right?

I LOVE a crisp sandwich. Especially with salt n vinegar crisps. Was thinking I'd love one earlier (but no crisps in the house) and then remembered a friend thinking I was totally bonkers for having crisps in a sandwich.

Anyone else? Or is my friend right and I'm totally bonkers...?!

On that note, any other 'out of the norm' sandwich fillings you all in enjoy?

I love a crisp butty, my favourite is medium white bread with cheese and onion walkers or with wotsits. Ooohhh I really fancy one now and have no crisps in Sad

MrsMuddlePluck · 26/02/2017 21:18

Omg I'm so hungry now!

Summerisdone · 26/02/2017 21:18

Oh I also like the occasional salad cream butty too, I used to love sugar or ketchup butties as a child but I grew out of them thank god Grin

Bedsheets4knickers · 26/02/2017 21:37

Left over xmas turkey , white bread . Ready salted crisps and sliced pickled onions .. I could eat one right now Grin

Huldra · 26/02/2017 21:51

Off topic but I am now hungry. Recently I discovered that a toasted sadwhich with a thick layer of garlic & herb cream cheese with grated extra mature cheddar gives a marvelously cheesy mess. Even better if you include a thin layer of chilli jam.

zukiecat · 26/02/2017 22:18

mygorgeous

That sounds like the most horrible thing

Be torture to eat that!

TooSleepyToCare · 26/02/2017 22:26

I had a cheese and onion crisp sandwich just this very evening. Food of the gods. Mmmmm

IonaNE · 26/02/2017 22:29

Normal. In the UK. Not known anywhere else.

Putthatonyourneedles · 26/02/2017 22:30

Sorry but it has to be either smokey bacon or cheese and onion in cheapo white bread.

itwillbegrandsure · 08/12/2017 20:46

Just had a salt and vinegar crinkle crisp one. Was delish!

Now I am desperate for a cheese and onion walkers, with salad cream, on brown seeded 😋

catnapz · 08/12/2017 20:51

I love supernoodles on toast Grin

RestingGrinchFace · 08/12/2017 20:53

I don't think I have ever seen/heard of anyone doing this in real life. I thought that it was an urban legend or 70's food.

itwillbegrandsure · 08/12/2017 20:56

Resting - try one! Will open up a whole new world...!

Haven't had a crisp sarnie is years! My go to would be some nice thick soft white bread, thick butter, walkers prawn cocktail on top of sliced banana. Yum!

MeltingSnowflake · 08/12/2017 21:27

Nothing beats a Pret posh cheese & pickle with their salt & vinegar crisps - bliss!

loveka · 08/12/2017 21:31

Tuna and crisp sandwich.

Cheese spread and crisp sandwich.

Has to be Walkers ready salted.

LifeOfRiley63 · 08/12/2017 21:34

With cheese and onion crisps, hell yes!
Also. Supernoodle sandwich. Or pasta&Sauce (from a packet) sandwich.

roastchestnuts · 08/12/2017 21:38

Crisp sandwiches are epic!!! Grated cheddar with ready salted crisps OR kettle chips - the mature cheddar and red onion crushed in buttered bread!!! Mmmm I'm going to make one right now!!

Rebeccaslicker · 08/12/2017 21:43

You're all depraved animals!

Bread is soft. Crisps are crispy. Never the twain should meet.

Anasnake · 08/12/2017 21:44

Didn't someone open up a cafe that only served crisp sandwiches ?? A bit like that cereal cafe.

LadyPenelope68 · 08/12/2017 21:45

Love a crisp sandwich, but HAS to be wholemeal bread, Dairylea cheese spread and plain crisps. Nothing else will do.

ILoveMillhousesDad · 08/12/2017 21:46

Supernoodles in pitta bread is the food of gods.

WishingOnABar · 08/12/2017 22:19

ILoveMillhousesDad my dad used to eat supernoodle sandwiches. You are the first person I’ve ever known of to mention the same thing, and yes they are heavenly!

Jaggythistle · 08/12/2017 22:22

Totally normal.

A packet of ready salted can improve a still sandwich 100%. 👍👍
