Black women here, in SA, use very rich creams and lotions on their faces and bodies, as their skin can get very "grey" looking and can get pigment problems and can scar badly as well.

I'm watching the Real Marigold Hotel and was amazed to discover that Amanda Barrie who used to be in Corrie is 81!! She looks in her 60's!

The grey-looking is dead skin or cells. With dark skin you can see it. It's something you can't hide. It's always referred too as "ashy looking skin".

I've lived in Japan and China and agree they tend to age very well and have beautiful skin. I can think of numerous examples where I've assumed someone was 10 years younger. At least!

The amount of times I've I'd someone who is back or Asian and it's turned out they are in their 30s...

I think being at least partly Chinese/Japanese/Korean is a big help. My SIL is quarter Chinese and three quarters Indian and looks much younger than me (celtic skin) even though she's nearly a decade older. Her father is half chinese and looks like he could be in his fifties, even though he's 80-something.

Keanu Reeves is another famously un-aging star who has Chinese heritage.
