May is forcing through an epic, epic potentially fatal constitutional and economic change on limited legal or constitutional mandate. Already thousands and thousands of British EU citizens have had letters telling them to leave the country, detention centres are doing great business.
Trump is forcing through the same on arguably similar terms.
Parliament is impotent with no opposition now. Judges attacked in the press. Labour women MPs are suffering terrible and dangerous abuse. If parliament had teeth, they should have had a vote today. But should have been able to vote freely 2 weeks ago.
Bigly I don't think they're dissimilar, in fact I think they might have swapped top dictator tips with each other.
Like ami said you can't change the results, and the sides with the most votes won, fair enough. But the minority voices are not being heard, which is causing the current pickle, and there's only one type of political system which does that and it's not democracy.
