I'm just watching this with a kind of grim fascination and periodically pinching myself to remind me that this is actually happening.
I work in psychiatry and agree that he has a mixture of sociopathic and narcissistic personality disorders and you really don't want someone like that in any position where they can potentially do a lot of damage. One of the traits of both those personality disorders is an inability to admit to ever being in the wrong- everything is always someone else's fault.
I can't believe he's only been in power for less than 4 weeks. I'm going to put a bet on that he'll be impeached before the end of April.

More like a SKIP, amisparticus Grin

I'm thinking Trump's planning to Send In The Gators. A crack force of alligators (or possibly even an Allodile Regiment, because crocodiles have skills too! jobs for crocs! down with the gator supremacy! [etc]) is presumably what his bonkers "I'm going to expand the navy to defeat ISIS" stuff was about.

Trump didn't mind the FBI as much when they were [allegedly?] leaking information to his campaign:
www.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_581c9e3fe4b0e80b02c93d6b

Whether or not Giuliani was trying to shit-stir, certainly they were helping his campaign indirectly with the impact the whole "basically knobbling Clinton" thing. Ugh. So. Much. Ugh.

cozietoesie · 15/02/2017 14:24

If I were a betting person, I'd lay a not unmodest wager on a health scare, shortly, a handover to Pence and Palin and EP back on the 'trail' to whip up adulation support for the 'Legacy'. Wink

Chippednailvarnishing · 15/02/2017 14:24

Aren't Potus seen regularly by a naval surgeon?

cozietoesie · 15/02/2017 14:26

What's real 'health' got to do with it, Chipped? Grin

Deejoda · 15/02/2017 14:37

Scrotus would be 'funny' if his actions didn't have the potential to affect so many lives. These last 4 weeks have been surreal. So much so that I wouldn't be entirely shocked if he was an alligator-mutant.

SafariSoGood · 15/02/2017 14:41

Cozie yes a FAKE health scare could be coming to a SCROTUS very soon

Ginger oh that Patriot Barbie news is disappointing. I think my heart is a little broken as I've quite enjoyed watching Conway crumble as her lies catch up with her.

I like that almost as much as quessing how many shades of grey Angry Spice can turn during his press conferences

Can't we just send in the SAS to inhume him with extreme predujice? Saying that, the Pence creature is infinitely worse.

I am not convinced Pence is worse. I think Pence is a right-wing horror show, but that he would basically abide by the law. He would seek to do many terrible things, but I don't think he would actually start a dictatorship or a nuclear apocalypse.

Roussette · 15/02/2017 15:17

"Shallow alert"

Laughing at the pics of Ivanka mooning at Justin (who wouldn't I say to myself). Love her eye make up bigly..

OK... as you were... Grin

Anyone know what time the Spicey press briefings normally are? Wouldn't mind looking in..

BiglyBadgers · 15/02/2017 15:17

This is an interesting little article in the Guardian. It highlights the contradictory feelings and views of one Trump supporter on the immigration ban

Trump supporter evacuated from Oroville dam: 'I feel like a refugee'

GingerIvy · 15/02/2017 15:18

I have to agree Bigly. He's dreadful, but in a legal way. Hmm He'll do damage, but not "blow up the world" damage. Stuff that will make life for women a bit hell on earth that will then need to be repaired with the next POTUS. But he was governor, and while I detest him, if it's him or Trump, I'll take Pence. I think Pence's first action would be to get rid of Bannon, Miller, and Angry Spice.

ZebraOwl · 15/02/2017 15:18

GingerIvy
Maybe if we asked John Oliver reallllllly nicely he'd try to get permission to include it in one of the adverts he's having broadcast during programmes he knows Trump watches...

GingerIvy · 15/02/2017 15:18

Obviously Kushner and Ivanka would go with Trump.

GingerIvy · 15/02/2017 15:18

Zebra that might be helpful Grin

Roussette · 15/02/2017 15:19

That's interesting BiglyB. I feel the same now, I hate Snake Pence greatly but given how out of control The Fat Orange One is, I'm beginning to think he at least might be slightly more stable.

I can just imagine the WH. The lawyers, the leakers, the unhappys, the worrieds. All running round like headless chickens. Can't imagine much actual work is getting done.

MsHooliesCardigan · 15/02/2017 15:21

This is totally doing my head in. I get fleeting moments when I actually feel a bit sorry for him and imagine him lying awake at night knowing that he's way out of his depth and wondering how on earth he can get out of this.
And then he tweets or opens his mouth and I go back to hating him.

Roussette · 15/02/2017 15:26

Nah can't feel sorry for him. It's how buffoonish he is, how presidential he tries to act with his handshakes, his long ties, his hair and his mouth, he's actually quite revolting. Let alone all the nasty EO's, the bluster, the way he holds up those EO's like he's king of the world. Vile.

One good thing (for me) to come out of it. I never thought there was so much clever humour out there in the US, but my god there is. Far more satire than I imagined. Don't know why I thought that but I did.

GingerIvy · 15/02/2017 15:34

I am incredibly angry with his daughter and sons. It just shows you how unbelievably the same as him they are that they actually thought he would do a good job. They are in a position to know him best - if they didn't realise this would be a disaster, then frankly, they are just as bad as him.

GingerIvy · 15/02/2017 15:35

I'm sure this makes y'all feel better, doesn't it? Hmm

Yes, Safari. I reckon that a health scare is Pence's only choice. Wink
