To just love a tiny toiletry

Off to Budapest on Thursday for a short break. I was in Superdrug today grinning like a loon at the scaled down bottles of Original Source when I nearly disappeared up my own bum with excitement at the miniature John Frieda Frizz Ease range. Maybe it's because they make me feel like I'm playing with dolls house bathroom products but I just adore them 😍

Love them! I bought loads for my hospital bag having DD, now I keep them stocked and ready to go in their own little wash bag, makes overnight packing easy. I also have a folding toothbrush and teeny tiny (almost useless) hairbrush.

I actually think the teeny mouthwash is my favourite.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 14/02/2017 07:09

Hmm, now you're all mentioning hotels - I do like a teeny individual jam pot too. The Bonne Maman ones. Not that I've ever swiped several one from my hotel breakfast table. And the individual marmite portions [happy sigh]

Yes, that advent calendar made me happy Every. Single. Day of December. You can't put a price on that.

Farandole · 14/02/2017 07:24

I'm not usually a hoarder, but I too have a soft spot for tiny toiletries. I fly a lot for work, and have several unopened first/business class wash bags filled with give-away toiletries. I have to physically restrain myself from taking the hotel ones.

It seems wrong to throw them out, but if you use them, you run out so quickly! Classic conundrum. Not just a first world problem -a first class problem :)

I do take the sewing kits though, you can never have too many of those.

NorksAreMessy · 14/02/2017 07:33

See, I can't like tiny hotel toiletries, they just feel wrong, but the next size up 'travel' toiletries are perfect.
But YES to tiny Bonne Mamans...and have you seen the itsy bitsy Nutella jars?

violetbunny · 14/02/2017 07:38

Yay, I have found my people! I have a drawer stuffed full of mini toiletries and skincare ready to be taken travelling. Lots have been gifts with purchase, so from Clinique, Estée Lauder etc. I do travel often so manage to get through them!

I'm also obsessed with mini makeup and travel palettes. I have quite a few mini lipsticks, mascaras, etc, and even the most adorable mini Nars blushes and bronzer!

minesapintofwine · 14/02/2017 07:39

Grin this thread! My sil is always on weekends away. So she has a clear toiletry bag full of miniature toiletries all ready to go. She is the envy of many.

FairNotFair · 14/02/2017 07:48

YADNBU.

I am still recovering from the time DH left behind the case of (unused) teeny tiny Elemis bottles after a 1st class BA upgrade to Hong Kong... he "hadn't heard of Elemis" and "didn't think I'd be interested". He did, however, bring me the free socks. AngryAngryAngry

LavenderRains · 14/02/2017 07:52

I too love a miniature! I have a little basket full in my bedroom. Mostly from hotel trips.

I've got white company & l'occitane minis from naice hotels and a little mini aapri face scrub that's probably gone off its so old!

LavenderRains · 14/02/2017 07:55

fair Shock that's a real case for LTB if ever I heard one! At least you got the free socks thoHmm

turbohamster · 14/02/2017 07:56

The moisturiser I use is cheaper per ml to buy in miniature on the 3 for 2 offer than to buy a normal sized one - win win

LeBoob · 14/02/2017 08:05

The miniature selection in Sephora is fatal! Most are almost as expensive as full size products but completely justified as they are miniature!

Pengweng · 14/02/2017 08:29

Superdrug have some on buy 3 for £3. This includes mini Nip Fab cleansing pads which are normally £2 each. Last time I saw the offer I bought at least 20 minitures. I'm not even going anywhere Blush

Magzmarsh · 14/02/2017 08:34

Oh you lovely lovely teenie toiletry stealing/hoarding people. Do you think I've actually created a unanimous YANBU in AIBU?

And YES!!!! to Sainsbos Aussie shampoo in tiddly form, their shelves will be cleaned by lunchtime 🤣

Oh and i still have quite a lot of mini samples from my M&S advent calendar.
I might go and have a play with them later and see what my favourite is.

CaoNiMa · 14/02/2017 09:20

This is my current favourite miniature. It's just so PERFECT.

FairNotFair · 14/02/2017 09:26

That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, CaoNiMa

danTDM · 14/02/2017 09:35

I got 12 Molton Brown mini bubble baths in different flavours for Christmas Shock Grin I have lined them up in the bathroom.

emilybrontescorset · 14/02/2017 09:37

Yes I love minatures too.
My oh bought me perfume for valentine's day but I was giddy over the minatures perfume that came with it.

woodhill · 14/02/2017 09:41

Cao'using that Clarins product. Blue orchid, it's excellent.

peppersaunt · 14/02/2017 09:43

My bathroom is being taken over by minis. I just can't resist them! Already thinking about next Christmas' advent calendar (L'Occitane?)

Farandole · 14/02/2017 09:57

Yes, the 12 Molton Brown sets are so 😍 I have the shower gel ones, they are my post-gym treats!

RJnomore1 · 14/02/2017 11:50

I have loads of the Milton brown ones. I use them so they will come to an end but they make me soooo happy.

Perfume miniatures are just amazing. The did a magazine years ago with a mini perfume each issue to collect.

thenightsky · 14/02/2017 14:00

The company that fitted our bathroom left a box of Molton Brown mini shower gels on their last day. I was beyond happy Grin

Stayed in a Park Plaza hotel last month and was overjoyed to see they did Elamis minis in the bathrooms!

PorkyScratchings · 14/02/2017 14:42

My husband is really good at bringing home tiny bottles of things when he's been away with work. He stayed in The Savoy once and brought me a whole load of Le Labo Rose 31 minature toiletries once.

OhSoggyBiscuit · 14/02/2017 17:11

If you go to Disney World and stay in a hotel there, you get teeny tiny bottles with Mickey Mouse ear lids on them. So cute!!!
