DD went to a concert last night, or was it a gig? She came home saying that she was jumping straight into the shower as she was covered in urine. Apparently the male of the species had been urinating into bottles/cups then hurling the piss filled pots towards the stage, soaking those, like my dd, who had managed to get to the front.

Charming Hmm

Or am I just old?

A man at his first big football match needed the toilet at half time, and asked the bloke behind him where the toilets were.

"Oh, don't bother with that", said the bloke: "see that fellow in front of you? Just piss in his raincoat pocket".

"Oh", said the first man, "will he not notice?".
"No chance", said the second man. "I pissed in yours twenty minutes ago and you've said nowt.

Wouldn't have expected anything else at an Oasis concert.

pamish · 14/02/2017 00:20

So do you mean 'people' or do you mean 'men'?

Just got back from seeing Anthrax. I'm temporarily slightly hard of hearing but very happily urine free 🤘🏼

treaclesoda · 14/02/2017 02:42

The gigs I've been to where this has happened have been the sort of big event, huge day out things that seem to attract people who aren't actually particularly into the music they just want a day out drinking. Which is utterly weird to me because why you would spend £100 to go and stand in a field to drink a carry out when you could do it in the comfort of your own home is beyond me.

It has not happened at the rather more niche events I have been to. My dh is a veteran of metal gigs and he has always said that the crowds there are far nicer than at other events.

Were Anthrax amazing? Safe Home is one of my favourite songs ever, although maybe an Anthrax purist would disagree Smile

I saw Brand New last year and someone puked in the mosh pit. Jesse Lacey was like, "Errr sorry. This has never happened before" and thebgig ground to a halt for a couple of minutes. I think New Yorkers would die on the spot if someone threw pee on them!

lavei · 14/02/2017 05:36

Urine isn't the only thing they fill bottles with, if you catch my drift

I was sitting on the grass at a reggae festival once looking all lovely and summery and floaty. Then a dog cocked it's leg on me and pissed all over my dress. I've often wondered why.

SpornStar · 14/02/2017 06:31

While I know this is a thing, I've never seen it happen. Like NobleGiraffe upthread, I've been to many a punk gig where the unwritten code of the mosh pit is strictly adhered to.

I think the pissy behaviour is more common at the big outdoor arena events and festivals which I hate and avoid like plague. The bands I like tend to only play smaller venues, thankfully.

In my teens, I saw Rage Against athe Machine and was down the front. A fit behind me stumbled and to stop himself falling, grabbed onto the back of my jeans, ripping the pocket clean off and exposing my knickers. He gave me his shirt to
tie round my waist to protect my modesty and the moshing resumed. All very civilised.

Littlelegs19 · 14/02/2017 06:40

Yup definitely not a new thing. I remember going to reading festival back in 2002/2003(?) and someone threw a bottle of wee on to the stage and it hit 50 cent in the face! 50 cent then threw a chair in the crowd!

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 14/02/2017 07:26

I was a big clubber in my youth and this was not a thing. I wonder if it was the lack of beer? Most people were on Es or speed though.

WanderingTrolley1 · 14/02/2017 07:28

That's foul.

CactusFred · 14/02/2017 07:36

Quite common at rock festivals.

Someone weed on me at a gig though. I punched him.

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 14/02/2017 11:21

Good on you Cactus.

Twogoats · 14/02/2017 13:33

This is why there's a big gap between the stage and crowd I think?

HemlockStarglimmer · 14/02/2017 14:11

Treaclesoda. Anthrax were awesome!

Lemonylemon · 14/02/2017 14:48

This happened at the Monsters of Rock festival I went to in the early '80's.
