DD went to a concert last night, or was it a gig? She came home saying that she was jumping straight into the shower as she was covered in urine. Apparently the male of the species had been urinating into bottles/cups then hurling the piss filled pots towards the stage, soaking those, like my dd, who had managed to get to the front.

Charming Hmm

Or am I just old?

That's so gross! I remember in my day people throwing bottles into the crowd which was dangerous and incredibly annoying but actually filled with piss? What the actual fuck?

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 12/02/2017 10:49

It was Drake, and yes she was in the mosh pit.

Actually, I've just remembered that when I lived in London in the early 80s my male friends said that they would not take me to Twickenham until I learned to pee in a bottle. I presumed they did it because of all the beer consumption and they didn't want to miss a minute of the game, and that they took the bottles away to dispose of in the appropriate manner, it being rugby and all. At least I hope so.

I never did get to Twickenham.

Anyone remember L2 at Reading in the early 90s? The lead singer pulled out her tampon and threw it into the crowd.

Serin · 12/02/2017 10:54

Worst I ever saw was a young lad whose "mates" turned over the chemical toilet he was using and were rolling it down a hill.

Vile, filthy and probably dangerous given the toxicity of the toilet fluid and the bio hazards of the sewage.

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 12/02/2017 10:55

That's fucking grim. Shocked it was drake as well! Didn't think he would attract a vile crowd like that. I really don't get the mentality of some people.

loobyloo1234 · 12/02/2017 11:03

I dont think this is just a thing now. This has been happening at gigs/festivals for at least 10 years (when I first started going to them)

When you have some liquid thrown, I just pray its cold now otherwise you just know Hmm

womanwithoutasong · 12/02/2017 11:11

The last big outdoor festival i went to was Pride at Leeds in the naughties and it put me off for life. The pissing, drunkenness, vomiting, shitting everywhere - not just the disgusting toilets - and the stinking rubbish strewn grass too was absolutely awful. As the sun went down i felt scared for my life.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 12/02/2017 11:15

I got showered in bottle thrown piss at Donnington in 1988. Gross then but somehow worse indoors.

Helbelle75 · 12/02/2017 11:16

I knew there was a reason I never wanted to go to festivals or big gigs. That is revolting! You don't get that are wet wet wet concerts. Yes I'm old and proud of It!

Twogoats · 12/02/2017 11:19

Blue played at my uni once but stormed off halfway through because of people throwing wee at them!

Cocolepew · 12/02/2017 11:19

Someone ejaculated over my lower back/bum at a Sisters of Mercy gig years ago.

Jaynesworld · 12/02/2017 11:20

Does this happen at bestival?? I was planning on going, but not if stuff like this happens Confused

QueenLaBeefah · 12/02/2017 11:21

Why did I click on this thread? Boak.

noblegiraffe · 12/02/2017 11:22

I've been to a lot of punk gigs and have seen beer thrown. I didn't think it might be piss. Perhaps it's better that I never considered the possibility! I used to come home soaked with sweat, showers were bliss.

There was a code back in the day, if someone fell over people would form a barrier until you were back on your feet.

BlahBlahBlahEtc · 12/02/2017 11:23

It's been going on since the 70's, it was punks then and slowly it's become more mainstream as a thing to do. It's always happened at gigs I go to (not punk) it's discusting but usual in most scenes away from pop

user1486897010 · 12/02/2017 11:25

This does happen a lot!! I went to a festival and i was in the crowd and felt my leg getting wet. I thought it was someone spilling a drink. I look behind and a guy had it out and was pissing on my leg!!! I couldnt believe it. He just laughed.
I got away from him as quick as i could. So gross.

Shockers · 12/02/2017 11:26

Flipping heck! I go to loads of festivals and have never had wee chucked at me!

I do go to the smaller, family friendly ones though.

I'd be livid! Envy

MrsGsnow18 · 12/02/2017 11:27

Unfortunately I've been pissed on by a drunk man at a concert before. No whizzing in a cup and hurling it though, he just stood behind me, whipped it out and pissed all over me Angry
I reported it to the bouncers etc who did nothing, even though technically I'm sure he could have been done for indecent exposure.
I left the concert early, I remember having to trudge home in my pissy smelling jeans Sad and when I got home I just threw them out!!

Babyiwantabump · 12/02/2017 11:30

Never happened at the take that concerts I've been to ...

burblish · 12/02/2017 11:34

I've been to Glastonbury loads of times and have never had/seen that happen - either I'm incredibly lucky or Glasto for some reason isn't as bad as other festivals and outdoor gigs?

user1486897010 · 12/02/2017 11:39

It happened to me at the reading festival. So a pretty big one! It ruined it for me tho. Such a pointless and stupid thing for a guy to do for a bit of a laugh but ruined my time. I got really upset. Mayb was stupid and i shuld of got over it but it was just the shock of a guy actuly just standing there peeing on me. Don't know why they think they can do it....

Autumnchill · 12/02/2017 11:42

Went to see Stone Roses last year but went and sat in the seats because the amount of 'fluid' being thrown was disgusting and I wasn't sitting in a car for 3hrs stinking of piss if that's what it was.

newfor2017 · 12/02/2017 11:49

Not a new thing. Happens at most festivals I think.

Vile.

loobyloo1234 · 12/02/2017 11:49

I've been to Glastonbury loads of times and have never had/seen that happen

You've been lucky burblish as I go Glasto and have even seen girls going for a wee in the crowds (on the floor in front of me) aswell as being covered in wee. It really is grim but awfully I'm used to it now Confused

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 12/02/2017 11:50

Grin at there being a mosh pit at a Drake concert.

I'm feeling all nostalgic for the gigs of my youth now.

I remember the fun time of travelling home from Dudley drenched in Faygo with my hair stiff with the stuff thanks to the Insane Clown Posse. That was a great night. Grin
