DD went to a concert last night, or was it a gig? She came home saying that she was jumping straight into the shower as she was covered in urine. Apparently the male of the species had been urinating into bottles/cups then hurling the piss filled pots towards the stage, soaking those, like my dd, who had managed to get to the front.

Charming Hmm

Or am I just old?

Bottles of piss is quite tame compared to some things at certain gigs....
I remember reading about a gif in America once (can't remember which band it was, but I'm pretty sur wit was ether Slipknot or Marilyn Manson Hmm), someone threw a bottle of piss onto the stage and struck on of the band members. He stopped playing, pointed out the culprit in the crowd and got him up on stage. He got the crowd all riled up, let the culprit go back down into the audience, and he was almost beaten to death by the crowd Confused

BusterTheBulldog · 12/02/2017 12:38

I would say it's not as bad at glasto as the others. V and reading the worst Angry

Mehfruittea · 12/02/2017 12:40

I know someone who pissed in another blokes pocket at a gig. Urgh!

AngelsWithSilverWings · 12/02/2017 12:43

Not a new thing. Saw this disgusting behaviour for the first time at the V Festival in 1996.

treaclesoda · 12/02/2017 12:44

It's hideous, but it's not new. I also was at gigs over 20 years ago where this happened. Grrr.

user1471545174 · 12/02/2017 12:50

It didn't happen in my day with punk. Gob was bad enough but piss is truly disgusting.

The last two gigs I went to (sedate 2000s indie music) the audience couldn't keep still for longer than five minutes and were constantly pushing past either to go to the loo or refill the bladder at the bar. I have given up gigs apart from retro-y ones among my own age group, who seem to be continent, at least for now).

Funnyonion17 · 12/02/2017 12:54

Omg that is revolting. Dirty feckers

LoveMyLittleSuperhero · 12/02/2017 12:55

MyBread could believe it of either. A Marilyn Manson gig required riot police and pepper spray to disperse the crowd once.
Plus slipknot are known for injuries especially if you stand near the front. They are barred from a venue in Wolverhampton after one of them threw himself off something (can't remember what) and a fan ended up hospitalised with head and spine injuries!
Plus was it a korn gig where a fight in the crowd ended up with someone cracking their head on the floor and dying?
Yeh don't go to these gigs unless you really love the band and are a little insane.

Seen it at V, girl in front of us got a face full of urine. We helped clean her up as she was understandably hysterical. It's that split second of horror until you find out if the fluid is warm or cold, eurgh!

Not had it at Muse concerts and I've been barrier on 3 occasions so far.

LightastheBreeze · 12/02/2017 13:08

OMG it must be horrible at festivals where there isn't much shower facilities. I have be to Glastonbury in the 80s but not at the front so can't say

I thought Drake were just a normal singer not the sort to be like that at the front

Jenbob13 · 12/02/2017 13:15

I remember this from an Oasis concert a good few years back, I was actually pre-warned by my dad not to stand to near the front as its well known to catch a cup of piss in the side of the face at such gigs 😷

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 12/02/2017 13:26

I went to Beautiful Days a few times and nothing like that happened. Old hippy blissy festivals are best.

barinatxe · 12/02/2017 13:38

That's been happening since at least the 80s, probably earlier. It's fucking disgusting but it's a risk you have to take if you go to a live event, especially if you want to be anywhere other than right at the back.

(Some) People drink a lot at gigs and what goes in must come out. They don't want to miss any of the gig or lose their place so they piss in a cup. They don't want a cup full of urine at their feet so the do the only "logical" thing - lob it towards the stage so it becomes someone else's problem.

It's not just men either - Poundland sell those "female urinal" things (basically a funnel) - and the outdated stereotypes about women being too sensible, polite or normal to not indulge in this kind of behaviour is very much a myth - a scummy woman at a gig is every bit as selfish and vile as the scummy man next to her.

Normal people wouldn't do this sort of thing, but if you've got hundreds or thousands of people packed into a small space, there is always someone who doesn't share the same values as the rest of us.

Lostpangolin · 12/02/2017 13:38

Male gig goer, and sometime band member since 1976. Never pissed in anything, on anyone. We're not all like that. Although nowadays I miss half the gig trotting to and from the looHmm

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 12/02/2017 14:40

That's age for you.

OP posts:
ForeverLivingMyArse · 12/02/2017 14:44

Not a new thing. I spent a weekend at a festival wondering why guys were queuing for ages for a beer only to lob it into the crowd. Hmm

Then it dawned on me... Confused

Mynestisfullofempty · 12/02/2017 14:47

OP that's been happening for several decades.

GoLiveInTheHouseOfDavid · 12/02/2017 14:56

I've been to Slipknot , Korn and Manson gigs , seen them all more than once - I've never seen this 😳 The pits are, as expected at this sort of gig ,pretty brutal and I've not known anyone walk away from the front without some sort of injury or ripped piercing . Never been covered in piss though 😅I think the worst I've seen was a bloke at Wednesday 13 get kicked in the face with steel toe caps and he lost loads of teeth !

Reow · 12/02/2017 15:09

Yup seen it loads at rock/metal gigs.

It's pretty standard I'm afraid!

ElderDruid · 12/02/2017 15:11

Not a new thing and totally vile. Hmm

Rosa · 12/02/2017 15:17

Disgusting Vile ....are the first words that spring to mind.

pieceofpurplesky · 12/02/2017 15:25

I once watched in awe amazement as the guy in from of me filled 4 pint glasses with piss as he didn't want to lose his spot. He then carefully placed them on the floor. Later he slipped and landed in the pissy mud mixture.
This was in the early 90s.
Used to happen at football matches too until seating came in.
Men are vile creatures of pissing habits!

MyBreadIsEggy · 12/02/2017 15:27

LoveMyLittleSuperhero I went to download a few years ago for the full weekend and it was all relatively tame (as download goes) for the first two days. And then on the third day, Slipknot were announced, and all the hardcore fans (masks and all) crawled out from wherever they had been hiding and anarchy descended Confused

orangeterry · 12/02/2017 15:28

Yes this happened to me at oasis and the stone roses .
My brother pissed in his cup and placed between some girls legs , it was comical at the time
