To ask - what's the creepiest thing your child has ever said?

DD (2) has started shouting "I can hear you, monster!" in the bath. I laughed it off at first but she's been doing it every night for over a fortnight now.

When DS1 was really little and just starting to talk in sentences, we were leaving my parents house and I said "say bye bye to Gaga" (my dad).

DS looked at my dad really seriously and said as clear as a bell "you die gaga!" He had obviously got his words tangled but it was the way he said it, really freaky Confused

Toddler DD3 insisting 'there's a camera on the ceiling' in my bedroom. Again it was insistence/tone of voice and the way she just looked and looked at it that gave me the shivers. I fear there will be far far worse to come as she is a right little wind up merchant already and knows my weaknesses!

As we were going on the channel tunnel train my son looked up from his tablet and dad 'i hope you can swim ' in a creepy song song voice! Something to do with a game he was playing but very well timed

It was nothing she said, but I was playing with 2 yr old DD in her bedroom the other day when she suddenly stopped what she was doing and looked at something over my shoulder with a look of shock and almost fear, I've never seen her pull that face before. I quickly turned, there was nothing there at all, just the wall, and when I turned back she'd gone back to playing. It really creeped me out but maybe she had a bit of wind!

My Ds described in great detail the room he was born in. He's never seen it since his birth and there are no photos; he was three when he described it.

When dd was 4 she said to dh
"When you win the lottery, I'm going to chop off your head with a big saw"
She's 20 now and we still list it as one of the things we will do when we get the jackpot, buy a car, go on a holiday, chop off your head with a big saw

When my daughter was about 2, she used to suddenly stop what she was doing and her eyes would follow the trajectory of something moving past her and she would say 'here's the man'.........did it most days for weeks (it was a really creepy house anyway)

My niece (3.5) was watching a movie up the sofa with my Sister and BIL (Frozen or similar) when she suddenly started staring into a corner and started to say "ssshhh it's ok" over and over.

My BIL asked who she was talking to and she replied "the little boy in the corner"

My sister (entertaining her more than anything) asked "aww why is he crying?"

Niece: "he's hungry"

Sister: "oh right, what does he want to eat?"

Niece: (very casually) "us"

She is a complete wind up merchant now too but my BIL is still horrified by this moment!

Out shopping with DD who was just 2. Friendly chit chat about the usual things.

Turns to me, looks me straight in the eye and says "I wish you were dead"

Arghhhhh!!!

..and then back to normal chatter! I was Shock

When my neice was 2, whenever we drove past a particular church, she always use to say, as clear as a bell 'that was my church when I was 21'. Used to freak us all right out.

I was looking after my 4 YO nephew one day some years back. He was a complete little chatterbox, never stopped talking. He would leap from one subject to other without a pause. He started talking about when he first met his parents dog. (dog died prior to him being born) He said he'd been waiting underneath the castle in the darkness when [dogs name] introduced himself by extending his paw. My nephew said it was then he decided to become [first names of both parents] son.

We came home from playgroup to an empty house. As we were getting out coats off at the bottom of the stairs where the coat hooks are toddler DS said 'who's that man?'

I said 'what man?' And he said 'that man upstairs'

Dd1 was recently complaining that she couldn't wait for her sister to be born.

Me - Just think, every day you wake up you're one day closer to meeting the new baby.

My nanna passed away when I was 5 months pg with dd who is 5, she has always been referred to as " nanna una " as this is what 13yr old ds called her when he was a toddler and it stuck.

Dd was playing with her our generation dolls last week and was naming them, Leah Clark, Tina Jones, I froze, Tina Jones was my nanna's name and dd does not know that at all, freaked me right out Blush

When he was two, just before bedtime one evening, DS stood in the hall waving at the front door (it has obscured glass), I thought he was waiting for his dad to get home. He said look, mummy, old lady waving. There was nobody there, thought nothing of it until my dad phoned after I had put my son to bed to say my grandma had died.

My DS(8) announced - as cool as a cucumber- that he knew my Mums maiden name. He then told me what it was and stated that he knew as they were friends as children Shock

As far as I'm aware ( and I checked with Mum too) he has never been told Mums surname and there's no other family members that he knows with the same name Confused

When she was about 4 DD would say "before I was a baby" and go on to describe what she wore/did.

One day she was leaning over the bannister watching me walk up the twisty stairs to the flat when I opened the door she didn't come in straight away because she was "waiting for the lady who was following me"

We were camping in a field in France when sleeping DS (9) sat bolt upright, let out one huge scream then lay back down. Not hugely creepy except the reason I wasn't sleeping too well was because on a previous night I'd woken to "see" a boy of about DS' size in the tent - spoke to him thinking it was DS "why are you up DS?" only to have him disappear.

DD when she was about 3 told me there was a man in our lounge and described everything he was wearing and his name. When I asked if he was still there she said yes he's under the floor now Shock
