You should point out when an article or story is incorrect - other people have.

As far as I can see the Canary is widely ridiculed and Corbyn isn't particularly popular on Mumsnet. However, this is a thread about Trump. I don't think he is particularly concerned about the Canary.

I know the discussion has moved on but I just wanted to address this. As a Southerner and a boomer, I just don't think this is a true statement for most of the South these days. As Across suggested, the South is much more global and sophisticated through technology and other advances than, say, even 25 years ago. And much of the internal migration in the US has been to the South (I'm married to a transplanted Yankee, for example), which has resulted in much greater cultural diversity.

Fake news and bias are becoming synonymous, the fact the MSM are actually covering this proves the point I was making earlier, Corbyn may not be popular now but he sure as hell was a couple of months ago, that is undeniable...

I hear what you say, Seneca - and I'm sure that there are both more eg general mobility and some promising examples of individuals. I think that you have to bear in mind the 'heartland' though. The Confederacy was both desperately bitter and fairly recent. EP's supporters are content to tap into certain elements of that - the effect of other elements are less clear to me.
