Yes, because, reportedly, Trump Staffers Reportedly Can't Find the Light Switches in the White House

That's what Spicer was referring to.

originalbiglymavis · 07/02/2017 14:54

'Trump staffers can't find spell checker, facts, nor own backsides with both hands'

BiglyBadgers · 07/02/2017 14:57

I did get involved in one of those threads with people saying they never read the guardian because of the reporting on one particular issue (under another name). There is not a person, let alone news source I would agree with all the time on everything. The guardian often has reporting I don't like, but to use that as an excuse to ignore the excellent reporting it also does is foolish. If people only ever listen to people or media they 100% agree with they are truely cutting themselves off from the world and living in a little ego tower of their own making. They are part of the problem in my view.

merrymouse · 07/02/2017 14:59

And I think they're banking on that, that the majority of Trump's supporters aren't going to go down the list and check the actual event.

However, given that they support him anyway isn't he just preaching to the choir?

I can understand why having a really strong base of supporters matters during an election. You don't need everyone to vote for you, you don't necessarily need to change minds, you just need to get enough people to vote.

However, now his administration can't even send out a document that has been spell checked? His supporters might not care about spelling, but I bet plenty of republicans do

BiglyBadgers · 07/02/2017 14:59

Where are they held, then? Not in the conference room because it's too dark?

Maybe this is why nobody new about the immigration order. They couldn't hold the meeting about it because of the lack of lights Grin

originalbiglymavis · 07/02/2017 15:00

Meetings held in the dark? Yup.

cozietoesie · 07/02/2017 15:02

Ah Yes. I have to warn you - once seen, you won't be able to unsee this.

2013 Easter Egg Roll.

I did get involved in one of those threads with people saying they never read the guardian because of the reporting on one particular issue (under another name).

I know which threads. Confused
As far as I could tell, The Guardian actually waited to have proper facts before reporting, at least regarding the accused.

Lweji · 07/02/2017 15:08

Maybe this is why nobody new about the immigration order.

Or why Trump didn't realise he was giving Bannon access to the NSC. Bannon just told him what was in the order, by keeping the President in the dark.
Figuratively and literally.

It's an expected consequence.

cozietoesie · 07/02/2017 15:46

Most people won't have the first clue what gutting Dodd Frank might mean, I fear.

SafariSoGood · 07/02/2017 15:46

Thanks Dee I was starting to think my phone was on its last legs!

Especially if he only employs those with similarly sized tiny hands

BaggypantsCrimplesnitch · 07/02/2017 15:49

This is interesting. Scary, but interesting...

cozietoesie · 07/02/2017 16:02

Ouch.

SafariSoGood · 07/02/2017 16:08

Oh wow
It makes so much sense and perhaps explains his hatred of journalists whose lives revolve around the written word.

SafariSoGood · 07/02/2017 16:10

And of course "experts" and the "intellectual elites" of Washington

woman12345 · 07/02/2017 16:16

I love 'uneducated people'. Sad if it wasn't so dangerous.

Lweji · 07/02/2017 16:16

If we go by his writing and speaking abilities, he's barely above maybe an 8 year old, anyway.
I'm not surprised if he can't read very well.

Having said that, it could be dyslexia or something similar.

This was published before he won, about the possibility of him having ADHD

In case it's of use to anyone, here's what twitter.com/roguepotusstaff claim is the DoJ brief for today's immigration hearing:
www.potusstaff.com/r/p/s/d/o/j/immigration-appeal-brief.pdf

(Presumably it's now a public doc as it's been filed with the court. I don't know US law so it's not illuminating to me.)

SafariSoGood · 07/02/2017 16:20

It would cast doubt over everything he has signed before and after becoming POTUS

This just can't be true, but it would explain sooo much

woman12345 · 07/02/2017 16:29

Illiteracy is surprisingly common. Strategies include: defend, attack and mitigate and distract. Yikes. Sad, and evil Bannon behind.
Makes me feel sorry for him, really. And we know, people who have a secret, can be really aggressive.
Compassion. Poor guy, he is in it too deep.
Really.
But for us. Shock

woman12345 · 07/02/2017 16:29

That was a particularly inelegant post I just wrote, I can write, really! Blush

CussingQuim · 07/02/2017 16:32

Baggy, that won't play on mine for some reason. What's the video called so I can look it up directly on YouTube?

Badders123 · 07/02/2017 16:35

Wasn't there a report a few years ago that stated 47% of Americans were functionally illiterate - that us, unable to safely read the instructions on medication
