Exhausting is right. Similar to a recent one about a does he/doesn't he fancy me? situation. To be fair to the OP, I think I'm getting too old to have a lot of patience with dating etiquette angst and drama, it wasn't fun when me and my friends were all doing it back in the day and it sounds like it's not fun now!

Sorry OP, not too helpful I know, but it does sound like you aren't quite ready for exclusivity and neither is your new bf if he isn't mature enough to realise exclusivity doesn't give him the right to sulk about your pre-exclusivity activities.
