My beloved late grandfather used to always say to his nine children and countless grandchildren "No-one is better than you and you are no better than anyone else - every person is equal".

I think that is a great quote!

"If at first you don't succeed...give up"

Homer Simpson

Not everyone thinks the way you think,
knows the things you know,
believes the things you believe,
nor acts the way you would act.
Remember this
and you will go a long way
in getting along with people.

Arthur Forman

'Whoever you are, I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.'

Blanche, 'A Streetcar Named Desire', Tennessee Williams

Seems as good a bet as any : )

To remain silent and indifferent is the greatest sin of all -Elie Wiesel
Very apt for the turbulent times we live in.

For those of you who want a daily quote fix - follow 'Nitch' on Instagram - lots of inspiring stuff.

Just found this one from Katherine Hepburn:

"The thing about life is that you must survive. Life is going to be difficult, and dreadful things will happen. What you do is move along, get on with it and be tough. Not in the sense of being mean to others, but being tough with yourself and making a deadly effort not to be defeated."
