Is it 8am?

I think he's pissed off.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 04/02/2017 13:23

I feel very sorry for his 'family'.

Megatherium · 04/02/2017 13:24

I'd be quite impressed by Kelly saying (when defending the ban) that "We cannot gamble with American lives. I will not gamble with American lives" if it were not for the fact that their proposals to lighten gun control will put many more American lives in danger.

cozietoesie · 04/02/2017 13:27

I've changed my mind for the third and final time. I think that the name should be 'One America'. )That should also appeal to any 'originalists' at court. Wink)

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 13:29

cozie I don't. If they had any common sense or sense of preserving his dignity, they would have talked him out of running and not supported it. They are complicit in all this IMO. If you had a close relative that you knew was like this, would YOU encourage it??

klassy · 04/02/2017 13:29

Has this talk about a possible military coup been posted here yet? (Sorry if so, fast moving thread!)

NEW: Trump on travel ban suspension: "The opinion of this so-called judge...is ridiculous and will be overturned" abcn.ws/2jKkujd

merrymouse · 04/02/2017 13:32

Interesting that certain Middle-Eastern countries agree with the ban.

Which countries? They agree with the American ban? If he just means they also have bans, does that mean he thinks living in America is like living in the Middle East?

Does he think America would be safer if it were more like the Middle East?

And apparently it is a ban after all.

cozietoesie · 04/02/2017 13:32

Re-read what you said, Ginger. Wink Do you really believe they have 'common sense' or a 'sense of preserving his dignity ' when actually dealing with him? Grin

DeviTheGaelet · 04/02/2017 13:32

klassy interesting article but I think they are clutching at straws.
This debacle (and brexit) just shows how fragile democracy is. Sad

GingerIvy · 04/02/2017 13:33

Quite a few people have pointed out (of course linking in Angry Spice) that he is clearly calling it a ban. Grin

merrymouse · 04/02/2017 13:33

so-called judge

From the leader of a country, that is very chilling.

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 04/02/2017 13:33

You could shorten it to '1Am' and link it to an aspiration to turn the Doomsday clock back to 1am & pulling us back from the brink

amispartacus · 04/02/2017 13:34

It's a 'ban' of 'evil' dudes.

Not a ban. A 'ban'.

cozie I know. I know. Sadly, I think they all have the same inflated egos and narcissistic tendencies that he has - they just hide it (only very slightly) more than him.

cozietoesie · 04/02/2017 13:35

Americans don't much like lawyers on the whole, merry. That's populist rhetoric.

amispartacus · 04/02/2017 13:36

From the leader of a country, that is very chilling

From the Leader of the USA, it's fucking scary

But just to remind people....

This is why we learn history.

Megatherium, and American lives in Iraq.

Americans in Iraq depend on the support of Iraqi people, who apparently aren't good enough to go to America, even if they have risked their lives and their families' lives in the fight against ISIS.

Roussette · 04/02/2017 13:39

He's scare mongering in the most despicable way. AND he uses the word "ban". Again.
Get out of that one Spicer.

cozietoesie · 04/02/2017 13:41

Oh there are lots of possibilities for 'add-ons', illegitimate. And some fine design opportunities. Smile

Deejoda · 04/02/2017 13:48

On a completely childish and selfish note.... I want more countries to do those videos, dammit! I am enjoying them
I woke up hoping for more.

To those who think America is safe because of their military arsenal...9/11. ISIS and its like are not going to engage in the usual warfare and they will infiltrate somehow (likely using US homegrown soldiers who are being radicalised as we speak). Haven't you watched 24? And the equally captivating 'Designated Survivor'?

merrymouse · 04/02/2017 13:49

Is this the second or third weekend of Trump related protests?

As somebody organising a state visit, what would you do?

As a given, there are bound to be protests, and it's bound to be a celebrity no show.

However, there is the added element of not being able to trust Trump. I know the UK has hosted some pretty dodgy people, but they didn't tweet.

Love both those programmes Deejoda and Homeland.

Only problem with rewatching is the comparative competence of some of the supposedly incompetent presidents.
