The point of the Iran deal was to offer them a carrot (unfreezing their assets, IIRC) to stop arming themselves with nukes.
If Trump enforces sanctions again, of course they will continue as they were.

Not sure they actually are on the path for nuclear missiles, or if they'd like other countries to think they do, but that sort of bluff didn't work well for Saddam.
But I don't think Trump's tough stance will work well either.

Yeah, the reactions to that Budweiser ad are eye-opening.

The ad is typical American Dream stuff: emigrant leaves Germany, has rough trip, gets to St Louis and has a drink in a bar with someone he's just met - and promptly goes into business with him. Along the way, various people say, "Go home, you're not welcome here," and the final guy in the bar says, "A drink for my friend."

And some Trumpers have lost their shit at this.
