@hollieberrie I'm so sorry for your loss. My Dad and I both went to get our tattoos together - both memorials to my Mum. First and only tattoos for us both! I'd always fancied the idea of one but never had anything I felt I needed and could 100% know I would be happy to live with for life. Until this. I can't explain why it felt like it 'helped' me, because it's not like I can see it unless I look in a mirror! But it does. It really means a lot - it's how I remember my mum, and the values she instilled in me, and what I aspire to live up to. I don't need ink to carry her with me, but it's just very special to me. Can't really articulate why, it just is!

@hollieberrie it was more pinchy than painful if you know what I mean. I was nervous but it only took 15 minutes to do.

I found the most painful was around my wristbone,that was very jarring/And surprisingly upper arm[bingo wing] was very sore.

I was a lady a few weeks ago who had an amazing tattoo going down her spine. She had all the planets and they looked incredible! I was so jealous 😊

I figured it out.

These are mine, in memory of my daughter who was born sleeping. Her handprint on my wrist mean I can always hold her hand and the lyrics are from her funeral song.

Oh and the clock has her time and date of birth on it.

I have a few of these love hearts dotted on my body but this one is my favourite. I love seeing it in the mirror and theyre a reminder to love myself as much as I love other people whenever I catch a glimpse of them.
