I've been trying to get my head around the cyber security stuff. I may be reading this wrong but it seems like a bit of a power struggle between homeland security and the military. My simplistic understanding is that this order would have given more access and responsibility for cyber security to the military. This was viewed by some as downgrading the importance of homeland security in this area. Needless to say homeland security was a bit upset. Now, as homeland security have been the ones backing trump up with the whole immigration ban, I would guess upsetting them would be a bad idea for trump/bannon (Trumpannon?).

I would be interested if anyone else has read this stuff and has a different view of it. I did find it rather confusing to be honest, but really want to know what the deal is.

It could be an entirely subconscious self fulfilling prophecy. He perceives a threat, treats it as a threat, it becomes a threat. But he's just projecting his own perception of threat on the world and ends up manifesting it. Oooh I'd love to get him on the couch!

Now CBP/DHS in LAX have three court orders that it should be in compliance with, but no agency has acknowledged these orders.
So imm. lawyers went to US Marshal, the enforcement branch of judiciary, asking them to serve orders to CBP, but they refused...
.. saying they were instructed by Office of the General Counsel to await instruction from the U.S. Attorney’s office.

So I presume this means quite a few are still detained an still have not had any access to a solicitor?

Some people just enjoy ordering others around, I fear.

I love watching the Press briefing. There's 1 particular guy who is always near the front and is lovely to look at.

It's not the West Wing though.

If reports that US Marshalls are not serving Court orders are true, this is basically the end of independent courts

WARNING: I am now going to speculate wildly on things we can probably never know.

I wonder if part of the reason we find Trumps motives so confusing is that he is being tugged about by a number of people who each have different agendas.

Trump himself is basically motivated by self interest and the need for power and adulation. Then you have Bannon who seems like some sort of terrifying far-right anarchist who wants to bring down the government. Pence of course has his right-wing christian fundamentalist agenda. Kushnar, well I am not sure what Kushnar wants, there is the rumour he is the Russian link but he might just have a good old fashioned hunger for power and cold hard cash.

All of these men are putting their own EOs in front of trump and putting their own spin on events. I am not convinced that they are a stable, single alliance, but more a group whose agendas have run in parallel and have found it in their interests to support each other for now.
