Excuse me if this has already been asked, but

Is Trump deliberately trying to antagonise the 'bad guys' ie ISIS, eg through the travel ban so that they'll commit an act of terrorism, he can then say to everyone 'see I told you so, you DO need protecting from these people' and get more support/adulation/ramp the whole thing up a gear?

I'm just trying to get inside his mind. Although a lot of people think he's stupid I don't think we should underestimate him.

Hard to say what he wants. Rumour has it he wants to antagonise them enough for something to happen so that he can then clamp down more control in the name of US safety. Don't know, of course.
