Hey all. Looks like I have a lot to catch up on. Been out all day. I think I may be afraid to look!

Have I missed anything major? No new EOs???

Interesting article on Vanity Fair (they despise Trump) about Jared and Ivanka. As Orthodox Jews, he doesn't work or use technology on Saturdays which is when things seem to fall apart. The first Sat was Spicers strop, then last Sat we had the airport chaos. Although Kushner seems to be able to restrain POTUS, it seems to be taking its toll, Kushner pale and losing weight from the stress. I think it's a case of be careful what you wish for.

Interestingly, I've not seen Kushner in many pictures, except in the "let them eat cake" pic with Ivanka. Where's he been hiding?

My favourite protest sign I've seen so far was outside the U.S. Supreme Court, it simply read:

"WTF Y'all"

The thing that amazes me about US politics is that literally anyone can be given a Cabinet position. I mean at least in this country all Cabinet/Shadow Cabinet positions are held by sitting MPs who have been vetted by their parties and democratically elected, and have experience of the political system and due process.

Of course my education in U.S. Politics is 100% down to Mr Sorkin, so I may get my facts confused

I seem to recall BJ not actually answering a question in the House about who he had obtained the exemption for UK passport holders from - i.e. The State Department or the President's Son In Law. (Happy to be corrected on this of course - I haven't read Hansard yet.)

chartreuse don't believe it for a moment - they both are senior/main advisers and the ban had been planned for weeks. And realistically speaking, it was all over the media, there were people picketing outside. No way they didn't know.

This isn't good. Fingers crossed she doesn't get past the full Senate.

Sessions simply can't be confirmed in this environment. At the minimum, he needs a whole new hearing to answer q's about DOJ independence.

The constitution is more than a little wobbly at the moment, though.

That's the GOP's Scylla did they but realise it.

My brain always tries to turn Mnuchin into Munchkin, but Moron for Myron was unexpected...

People are saying that this will prevent attacks. Yet many terrorist attacks come from home grown terrorists radicalised online. Lone wolves. Richard Reid the shoe bomber. 7/7 bombers.

I have seen NO evidence of how Trump will prevent that. I do strongly suspect that his actions will increase home grown radicalisation - which in a country where guns can be purchased easily (and yes, even by people on terrorist watch lists) is an issue.
