I like the simplicity of the idea of the pill but having tries microgynon 30 have had nothing but problems with it. It made me continuously nauseous, headaches and irregular cramping.
Have previously had the implant with similar issues and the merina coil which moved and caused awful pain.
It seems I struggle with most, is there an alternative pill brand I should ask for?
Average weight, good blood pressure no family history or heart issues etc.

I use the Evra contraceptive patch. It's brilliant. I couldn't get on taking the oral combined pill (always had spotting) and so tried this and it's been great. I've had no side effects, it's easy to remember to switch the patch each week, it works even if you're on antibiotics or sick. I stick it on my hip it's hidden by my knickers so no-one sees it unless I parade around naked. It's super sticky (so doesn't come off in bath, shower, swimming or anything like that). I highly recommend it.

Just started on depo here too. So far no issues at all, I had a period a week later than normal the normal headaches I got before I had it. Apparently my periods will probably stop the more I have the nurse said.

Condoms for years and years then the implant (Nexplanon) for the last 4 years. Don't know why I didn't do it sooner - my previously heavy and painful periods are now a thing of the past!

Vasectomy and copper coil. Fingers crossed nothing gets through!
