To ask DH to leave work?

Really not sure if AIBU or not. DH works shifts and I'm a SAHM with 3 dds. Last night all 3 came down with a vomiting bug. A child vomited every 30 mins all fucking night. And now i feel shaky and sick. Dd3 has stopped puking, dd1&2 are vomimg roughly every hour. Dd2 has oral aversion and is probably being sick cos dd1 is. Every time i stand up the room swings. I can't get to the dds fast enough to catch the sick. Dd3 (18 months) is screaming on loop as she wants cuddles. DH has always said i can summon him home if i really cannot cope. He is working till 10 p.m. and right now i can't see how to make lunch time. So would AIBU to ask him to leave work?

Of course not! I asked dh to take a half day Friday as dd1 was really poorly and I was starting to come down with something and I had stuff for work I had to get done.

3 dc vomiting and you feeling ill??? Definitely not unreasonable!

If he can come home then yes you should ask him, that all sounds like a nightmare.

Call him. I am usually a "Buck up and carry on" kind of person. But not if you are unwell yourself to the extent that you are unable to safely look after the dc. Get help.

Yeah, usually I would just say get plenty of fluids for the lot of you plenty of sick buckets and put on a movie but with three kids and you're coming down with it yourself I really think you should have someone there. YANBU

Call him. You will get better faster if you can have some rest. I have done the just carry on thing then neerly passed out in playground when picking up eldest feeling very unwell and really scared her. Get yourself better

Not unreasonable at all! Call him and ask him to come home. You are ill, the kids are ill, someone needs to help you.

absolutely ask him to come home. 3 sick children is bad enough, if you are ill too this is a good moment to ask for help if you can. wishing you all better.

Yes dependents leave. I couldn't remember what it was called. I just know that you have a certain number of days/weeks you can take for emergency care of dependents.

I had a vomiting bug last month. Get him home. You cannot look after the children in that state - particularly not the 18 months old.

And get out the bleach - wipe EVERYTHING. door handles, light switches, everything.

Hope you're better soon. It's really horrible :(

If our not well call him. Mean time. Get all of them in sittingroom, put towels and sheet down if you have carpet. Give each a bucket or bowl (little water with some essential oil in bottom helps with smell). Just keep them knickers with blankets or towels wrapped around for easy cleaning. Put dvd on.

Done this many times when multiple pukers. We all slept in sittingroom too when bad novovirus hit as means I got max rest I could but quickly on hand for vomiting

Also keep yourself in pj as allows easy chage when littlest get you instead of bucket

Well i am now puking too. Dd2 is very distressed and assisting small children to vom into bowls while voming yourself is impossible. I've summoned DH. We are in my bed covered in towels with various buckets/potties. Trouble is emptying the bloody things

You poor thing. It sounds like the Norovirus, Winter vomiting bug. It last 24 hours. You will have to get him home.
Try and get some water inside you. You are highly infectious after you have started vomiting so your DH is likely to get it.
He could do with staying off work for a couple of days.
You poor things as I had it after Xmas, so did practically everyone around me.
