6 months

DP and I will have been "official" for 6 months come tomorrow.

I realise that's not very long or a big deal to most people but I was thinking of marking it in some way.

Is that totally stupid? I was thinking something jokey, like a wee cake with a cheesy note or something attached to it?

He's the least romantic person ever and I know 6 months isn't anything special so I don't want to do anything soppy or special.

I dunno - without sounding mean it sounds a bit "teenage" how old are you?

That's what I thought too. I'm 27 and by no means into anything soppy- We've already agreed not to bother with valentine's day etc.

Can you save it for his bday or has that been and gone?

I guess it doesn't matter what others think, it matters what he will think.

Our relationship is quite a playful one and we are always joking with each other, this would definitely just be a bit of fun to point out we've been together half a year than any sort of romantic gesture.

His birthday is in May so not really.

I feel the notion has passed me now and that it probably is a bit daft to bother.

You shouldn't have to find out, he should be telling you like a normal adult!

At 6 months it should be fun, not ignoring and 'figuring out what you've done wrong'. I'd be thinking very carefully about whether or not to continue this relationship.

I can deal with the sulking if I know the reason for it.

I went to bed and we had been laughing and carrying on beforehand, he came to bed whilst I was still awake but wouldn't speak or let me give him a hug/kiss goodnight. Eventually I just got out of bed and have been up all night. So much for something to celebrate!

He sounds ridiculous, hope you get some sleep OP and maybe reassess what you're getting from this relationship.

I got out of bed because he wouldn't speak to me, tell me what was suddenly bothering him when we had been having a lovely time less than an hour beforehand. I found that upsetting.

Does he show other signs of being manipulative?

Not really Aye. Usually he is very open and I tend to be the one who wont say what's wrong (previous EA relationship where I would be punished for speaking up).

I've been working on it though and I don't sulk or go quiet without good reason. We were mucking around chasing each other and laughing less than an hour before, no cross words said, nothing that could even have been taken the wrong way and upset him, I'm sure of it.

I'll get some sleep when DS is at school and he's at work but I hope he at least tells me what's wrong before he goes, even if he doesn't want to discuss it yet.

I think I'd be calling it a day to be fair. No one needs that kind of drama in their life.

We are usually totally drama free Anon which is why I'm so confused.
