I wish. We're on mostly heavy rain. By the time it snows it will be so wet underfoot, I'd advised the children not to expect any settling.

All the schools will be closed anyway (well around here they will) if we get "Motherfucking thundersnow"

I hate snow, but I've never experienced thunder snow so I hope we get it here, then the snow can thaw and we can get back to normal non-slippy pavements.

It's really dry and blustery here no rain or puddles but it's about -0°c at the moment it's perfect snow weather and the wind is insanely strong

Being from the other hemisphere I've never seen thunder snow so am waiting with anticipation. Mind you, weather forecasts can't be relied upon so I might not see it anyway. I'm in the area predicted to get it last.
I love to look at the snow but empathise with folk who find it too hazardous to go out, like myself. However, all the hoping in the world won't affect the weather one way or the other so I won't feel a jot of guilt if it snows and I enjoy it

DD is desperate for snow, she was disappointed there was none last year (also south west). I would love a snow day from school but as a PP said, if it could fall overnight so we could wake up to it and not tomorrow night at rush hour when we should be coming back from swimming that would be fab.

I do sympathise with the medics who have to go out in the snow as one of my relatives does too.

What the fuck is Thundersnow..it's not something I have ever heard of..is it a new buzz word. Google isn't throwing up any explanation just assumption you know what it is

There had better not be snow. If I have to travel to London, I want to be confident that the trains won't faint at the thought of a dusting of white stuff in Aberdeen and be cocked up for the whole day.

Until yesterday the weather app on my phone was saying it would show here tomorrow, but now it just says rain. Gutted

We won't get it where I am, but I'm with you, OP. Thunder and snow are my favourite types of weather (always provided I'm warm indoors, of course) so the two of them together sound great.
