even though I'm not the OP?

We can't leave it there!

OP posts:
dibbley · 10/01/2017 19:42

is the car still on the drive

Ginandtonic100 · 10/01/2017 19:44

I was pondering popping a note through her door to say get well soon, and/or offering to stage a sit in on her drive dressed as a penguin, but thought that might be a bit stalkerish!

GenghisCalm · 10/01/2017 19:45

Grinwelcome to the maybe neighbour

Bettyspants · 10/01/2017 19:45

Really wanted to see the pics ..... 🙁

PidgeyfinderGeneral · 10/01/2017 19:45

I had to work so I missed all the updates so massive thank you to the people on this thread who summarised it all!

I am stunned that people were calling the OP mean for not letting the carers or the neighbours park on her driveway. What the actual fuck?? Several houses in my road (including us) allow each other to park on all our driveways when on holiday - partly to alleviate congested road parking and be neighbourly, but also so it looks like someone's at home as there are a lot of burglaries here. The key point is that we all ASK or let others know it's OK to park there.

SalemSaberhagen · 10/01/2017 19:46

Two people know the street on here? Of course they do.

Ginandtonic100 · 10/01/2017 19:46

There were no cars at all on the drive when I drove past. Maybe the op has gone out?! Hence the lack of updates?

imsoexcited0000 · 10/01/2017 19:47

desolate I might be persuaded to go out and take a photo, but what if I get caught by the OP? Blush.

notyet I've got to read the thread properly, I know a Caroline who lives on the road, but can't imagine it's her, as she has her own drive

PaulAnkaTheDog · 10/01/2017 19:48

Name change fail?

Namejustfornappies · 10/01/2017 19:48
Grin
BurningBridges · 10/01/2017 19:48

2 neighbours?!! So they could take it in shifts to monitor the OPs drive and update us. Easy.

QueenMortificado · 10/01/2017 19:49

Name change fail?

imsoexcited0000 · 10/01/2017 19:50

salem Yes there are in fact two of us, Gin and tonic told me about the thread and we've invited two friends who live on the street to look as well. I guess that what's happens when someone posts an identifying photograph. In a place full of people with children who read addicted to mumsnet

What about a photo of the parking restrictions sign in the street, good evidence?

DartmoorDoughnut · 10/01/2017 19:51

Imsoexcited apparently it was because Caroline had 3 cars and only 2 fit on the drive

How bizarre that there are two neighbours! We demand non stalker like updates Grin

LivingInMidnight · 10/01/2017 19:51

Didn't Caroline have another car on there when bird got home from work? She has 3. Oh god did I invent that? Confused

GabsAlot · 10/01/2017 19:52

so the neighbour put a note through thanking her dh for their space?

cheeky get

chery hows the contracitons

EuropeanSwallow · 10/01/2017 19:53

Well, this is all very exciting, comparative to sitting bored shitless in a car dealership while DH chooses a replacement truck for the one he took out out earlier this morning and totaled on his way to work that is.

I'm not sure I'm getting what's up with the more sceptical posters here re this particular OP, I'm guessing previous clashes of personality and differences of opinion, but it's all looking a bit witchhunty to me. Scrolling back through previous posting history to seek out and highlight discrepancies and inconsistencies is one thing, if you can be that arsed on an anonymous chat board, but chasing them over to totally unrelated forums to challenge and 'expose' them there too? Yeah, that's over-invested to the point of fucked up.

NotSoEagerBeaver · 10/01/2017 19:53

But the Caroline in question does have a drive, just too many cars.. How many cars does your friend have?

LivingInMidnight · 10/01/2017 19:54

And there was a picture of nicholas' drive... he had loads of stuff on it which meant he would have had loads of room for a carer's car if he'd cleared it.

GabsAlot · 10/01/2017 19:55

how do pepole know where the op lives?

birdladyfromhomealone · 10/01/2017 19:55

I have spent hours reading all the posts on my thread!
No news.
Nicholas has not been round, DH is home and says he's not going round.
Sparklingbrook made a valid post about Nicholas's drive and car being online so I asked Mumsnet to delete that photo but they deleted ALL my posts.
I apologise for those that now cant work out what happened but Cherry has summarised it fantastically.
I did NOT shout at the carer Manu, I was stroppy and she knew I was pissed off.
I have walked the dogs and no sign of the 10 reg passatt that was parked yesterday on the entire road.
maybe Caroline doesnt even live here, maybe Nicholas was lying about that too who knows although the carer seemed to think she lives opp. Never noticed the car here before.
We do talk to most neighbours but never see Nicholas or Jane.
I knew she had carers I'm not that hostile as a neighbour.
She apologised to me recently if her radio keeps us awake as she listens to it through the night.
I dont know whats wrong with her. She can walk unaided and talks fine.
When we bought the house three years ago they had a carer in her 30's I thought she was Nicholas's wife (half his age) I used to chat to her and one day said your husband. She nearly choked thats when I found out there was an old lady there.
Nicholas was parked on our drive when we moved in. He came round shook hands with DH not me and said he was parked there so the house didnt look empty.
We have found his car on our drive at least 5 times in the last 3 years but yesterday 2 strange cars tipped me over the edge.
Counting houses- I am also on horse and hound and posted on there too.
sidesaddle went digging on my history.
I had posted last year about our electric gates. She assumed I was talking about the same house. I didnt want to have to explain it wasnt. She accused me of lying.
We have a house in the country (farm) where PIL live. We go there every weekend.
also have this house in the city where we work.
then there is another house we rent out (My Mums house she left to our kids)
We also rent a studio flat in another city that my DH stays in if he is working away from home.
My FIL bought us a villa in Spain last year for our inheritance.
Sidesaddle was accusing me of lying so i said actually I have 9 houses to wind her up.
She is now on here and reporting back to horse and hound and they are all calling my a liar.
I shouldnt have to explain my life to a bunch of bints on a forum but there you go I have outed myself so who cares.
I will just name change.
If any one is confused I am here to answer your questions I have NOTHING to hide.
Why would I make this up and the stick around?

Ginandtonic100 · 10/01/2017 19:56

Do you mean me re: name change fail? I couldn't name change as I've forgotten my password and couldn't see an obvious reset. But as I'm completely overexcited/overinvested in this saga I wanted to post anyway. Seeing as I've only ever posted a fairly dull legoland post I didn't think it mattered. Does it?!? Now will all of mumsnet know who I am?!? Do I need to get my posts deleted, if so, how?!

Sorry-I lurk all the time (far too much), but never post.

LivingInMidnight · 10/01/2017 19:56

gabs OP posted loads of pictures of the drive and surrounding areas so if you knew the area I guess it would be easy.

imsoexcited0000 · 10/01/2017 19:56

The Caroline I know could have 3 cars, there are 3 people in the household.
