even though I'm not the OP?

We can't leave it there!

OP posts:
MissBeehiving · 10/01/2017 18:13

OP came home. Cuntalines car was gone. There was a different car there. Nicholarse had left a note through the door addressed to OPs DH. OP went next door to have it out with Nicholarse. He wasn't there but carer (?) said that they had been parking on the drive for 6 years (OP has owned the house for 3).

Manumission · 10/01/2017 18:13

I read it all but I couldn't really make sense of it.

Lots of apparent cliffhangers. She lost her temper with the carer and went mad on the doorstep big scene and flounced telling carer Nicholas better knock after 4pm.

But also Caroline's car had gone. And She'd had some kind of interaction with Caroline who she'd wound up further but she hadn't seen Caro and didn't know where Caro's car was although she DID discover that Caro lived opposite, owned three cars and could only fit two on the drive.

And Caro had been counting houses but we never found out what that meant on the significance.

diddl · 10/01/2017 18:13

I was thinking about that one, Boney

If her neighbours didn't use her drive, she'd have room for a carer's car if necessary!

JustSpeakSense · 10/01/2017 18:14

Nicholarse needs to be notified in writing that neither he, or any visitors or staff frequenting his property have permission to park on the driveway.

Givemestrength12 · 10/01/2017 18:15

Lost the will to live, I was never sure whether the original post was real...and now on the 2nd thread, its locked and OP Posts are deleted..pointless following.

Celaena · 10/01/2017 18:16

The problem for me was the drip feeding at the end

Ffs - 'guess what I found...' it was very annoying

Manumission · 10/01/2017 18:16

Also Nicholas had put a note through the door thanking OP's HUSBAND for giving permission for the carers to park on the drive on an ongoing basis. So that would OP up given that she was apparently the one who had given the permission and rescinded it. But it never became clear where that went in the timeline given she must have been losing it with the carer before 4pm.

And there was a blue parking badge used by the caer who owned the second mystery car that turned up on the drive. I think that was everything Confused

emmyhNL · 10/01/2017 18:16

Thank goodness for this thread! I was so confused!

So... Cuntyline is the woman across the road and I guess won't be parking there again?

What was the shouting match about? Just because the carer was in the drive?

Mungobungo · 10/01/2017 18:17

So Nicholarse potentially had an agreement with previous owners for carers to park on the drive and had the brass balls to continue this arrangement without consulting the new owners (op of other thread)?

Cuntaline lives opposite and has too many cars? And thinks it's acceptable to use someone else's property to park one of them and has no manners or morals enough to come round and speak to op about it now she's busted. Isnthat about the gist of it?

Manumission · 10/01/2017 18:18

It was very drippy Cel, I agree.

Pigsbum · 10/01/2017 18:18

Argh godammit I missed the 1600 update and now OP's crucial posts have been deleted!

Notes? Additional cars? Shouting matches?

fuckoffdailysnail · 10/01/2017 18:20

Thankgod I've found you all! Had to put nicholarse into the search box

Thingvellir · 10/01/2017 18:21

Caro wasn't counting houses, a poster on another forum that Birdy also posted this stuff on was counting Birdy's houses (she has a few). That poster had got wound up....

DanglyEarOrnaments · 10/01/2017 18:21

Oh HERE we are now! Phew!

ChateauCollapso · 10/01/2017 18:21

Have been following this since yesterday. The build up has been too exciting but now a damp squib Sad

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 10/01/2017 18:22

I'll try and do a timeline from what I can remember -

On OP's street, because she lives near a large shopping centre, there are parking restrictions. Meaning only residents with permits can park from 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 3pm on the street

Yesterday OP came home sick from work and found not one, but TWO cars on her drive that weren't hers.

She popped notes on both

Nicolarse from next door came round to say that one car belonged to the carer of his wife. He won't fork out £40 a year for a permit - too expensive. OP wasn't thrilled but agreed to let the carer use her drive when their cars aren't on it.

The other car belongs to Cuntaline across the road. OP's DH came home and blocked Cuntaline in. Cuntaline never retrieved her car at all, which was a huge disappointment as OP wanted to tell her to not park there

This morning OP's DH went to work, unblocking Cuntaline's car. At some point Cuntaline moved it without knocking on the door as requested by OP on the note. OP is off sick but had doctors appointment so didn't return until about 3.30pm today

When OP returned there was a different car on her drive to those that were there yesterday

OP also found a note from Nicolarse addressed to her DH, but not her, thanking him for allowing carer to use their drive. Even though it was OP who gave permission!

OP knocked on Nicolarse's door to find out whose car it was now on the drive. Turns out it belongs to carer no 2. Both careers have parked on OP's drive for 3 years, because Nicolarse said it was OK, despite neved getting permission from OP

OP told carer to get the car shifted. She did, and has used a blue badge on the parking restricted area (we assume she's doing this illegally). OP asked carer to pass a message to Nicolarse to pop round and see her after 4pm. He's never been, nor has Cuntaline.

Nicolarse actually has spaces for 2 cars on his drive but due to extreme clutter, only 1 car can ever access it.

Everyone on last thread got very saintly about how the OP should just let others use her drive because Nicolarse, despite being a massive Twat, had a wife who needs carers. Some armchair detectives were doing some very dull troll hunting. APprently if someone near you has carers its fine for their husband to pimp your drive out without permission and the OP should berate herself for not noticing the wife needed a carer Hmm

Cromwell1536 · 10/01/2017 18:24

Look, I've been riveted. But I missed the postings that occurred between about 4.45 and 6.15, and I think some vital information was withdrawn at birdlady's request. And now I don't know what has gone on! Who does today's car belong to? where does Caroline/Cuntaline live and has she parked on that space again? Has OP talked to Nicolarse F2F yet? Can someone tell me without breaching the spirit of 'withdrawn at poster's request"???????

SauvignonBlanche · 10/01/2017 18:24

Where's birdladyfromhomealone gone? Confused

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 10/01/2017 18:25

Sorry, 1 carer had been using drive for 6 years, the other for 18 months. OP lived there 3 years and apprently previous owner allowed use of the drive. OP never knew this as they'd either been at work or in!

Manumission · 10/01/2017 18:25

Oh okay. So basically it was just;
Caroline's car went.
Carer's car came.
Ridiculously goady note from N.
OP yelled at Carer on N's doorstep.
Carer moved car.

And the rest of it was overegging and embroidery of the "and you'll never guess what was in the house" and "plus there was something else" variety at the end of each rabbit poo post.

Caroian · 10/01/2017 18:25

Full summary of the two threads:

Yesterday OP arrived home to find 2 strange cars on her drive.

One belonged to the carer for elderly lady next door. The elderly neighbour's husband (Nicholas) came round and explained this, and that the other car belonged to another neighbour (Caroline).
The OP may have agreed the carer could park there at this stage, but it was the first she'd ever heard of it.

OP, and subsequently her husband, blocked Caroline's car in. She dd not return to reclaim it, and it was still there at 10am this morning.

OP is ill, and had to go out to the doctor. When she returned from the appointment, Caroline's car had gone, but there was another - different - car on her drive. She went in to her house to get herself sorted as she needed to go to work. She came back to the door to find a note on her mat.

The note was from Nicholas, but addressed to her husband, thanking HIM for allowing the carers to park on the drive, even though Nicgolas has only spoken to the OP about it.

OP, by now exasperated, went next door. A lady opened the door and (the OP acknowledged this was regretful) got the brunt of her anger. The lady was one of the carers and gave the whole story. There are two different carers who spend 8 hours a day at the house. One has been parking on OPs drive for the last 6 years - the OP has lived there for 3, but apparently yhe previous owner had said it was OK. The other has been parking there for 18 months. Caroline is a neighbour who owns 3 cars but has space for only 2 on her drive and does not have a permit for on-street parking. Therefore she moves her third car on the the OPs drive for the restricted parking hours of 10-11 and 2-3.Nicholas has apparently said this is all fine as long as they are all off the drive when the OP comes home from work.

The carer then moved her car and parked it on the road across Nicholas's driveway, putting a blue badge on the dash when she did so. Nicholas, incidentally, has one car. He would have room for a second if he did not have hundreds of plants, benches etc taking up his front driveway space. There is also a Pay and Display car park directly behind the houses.

The carer was going to ask Nicholas to visit the OP after 4pm when she returned home. He had not done so the last time the OP posted. The OP has heard nothing at all from Caroline as she moved her car whilst she was out.

QueenMortificado · 10/01/2017 18:25

Thanks for the explanation Cherry! Flowers

sobeyondthehills · 10/01/2017 18:25

I think I got it, I was telling DP about it

Op went to the doctor's at 10.45 popped back home and found Caroline's car had gone. Went off to work
Returned home before 4pm and found a different car there.
Opened front door to find note from Nicolas, which read
Dear (Op's) husband
Sorry about the parking situation yesterday and thank you for allowing carer to continue to park there

Nicolas

Op goes round to Nicolas' house, finds out that he is not in, demands for the car on her drive to be moved, as it is the carers. Also discovered that the carers have been parking there for 6 years, having got permission from the previous owner and have since been parking with Ops knowledge for the last 3 years along with Caroline, who lives across the road, has 3 cars, but only enough room to park 2.

Op demands Nicolas' comes round to discuss by 4pm

Lots of photos to prove point, which had identifying features

Carer moves car onto double yellows and uses a blue badge to park there.

TattiePants · 10/01/2017 18:26

Manumission it wasn't Caroline that she had interaction with and wound up. OP has also posted this on another forum and someone was troll hunting and trying to catch her put. That poster referenced other threads to do with another (rural) property that the OP owns. That was the ref to 'counting houses'.
