Rather than having a go at them on Twitter and describing them as second rate actresses. Hmm

Otherwise some people might just think you're a bit sensitive.

If that's how he's going to react when people call him out on things, he's going to have a very long 4 years in the White House

His twitter rants are proof that the man is completely imbalanced and unfit for office. If this is how he reacts to a criticism from an actress I really dread to think how he'll behave when he needs to deal with the criticism from other heads of state!
He is terrifyingly unstable.

SquatBetty · 10/01/2017 12:14

I'm with Postagestamp I'm afraid - I'm totally sure there is a lot of damage limitation being put in place behind the scenes (which we will never know about) as Trump the petulant toddler cannot be trusted to behave in an intelligent, dignified and gracious manner while he leads one of the world's super powers.

Once he's sworn in his behaviour will become more 'presidential' I'm sure as he will have been 'told' to behave as Postage says.

And if that makes us looney, tin foil hatted, conspiracy theorists - so be it!

ExplodedCloud · 10/01/2017 12:15

I reckon the FBI, CIA , Pentagon and State Department will be busy replicating a special DonaldWorld Twitter environment where he can spew his nonsense into an abyss. Can't transfer him yet though.

MitzyLeFrouf · 10/01/2017 12:19

Maybe he'll be the Stepford President. Toddler Donald will be replaced with smiling and polite robot Donald.

derxa · 10/01/2017 12:24

That's strange, derxa, she speaks very highly of you. Pleased to hear it Grin

MitzyLeFrouf · 10/01/2017 12:29

‘the conspiracy theorists have rolled up’

Hardly conspiracy theories! When someone like Trump is days away from being sworn in as President you can bet your bottom dollar that a lot of secret plan hatching is afoot in the corridors of Washington.

MrsHathaway · 10/01/2017 12:54

I'm unconvinced that he won't be surrounded by yes men given that he has already sacked everyone (standard for incoming POTUS except that he has sacked them without notice) and started appointing people who are hilariously underqualified and inexperienced.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 10/01/2017 13:00

If Trump does get impeached/assassinated or retires due to ill health during his four years in office, Pence will take office - someone who has, as Indiana's governor, signed legislation severely restricting women's access to abortions - even when the foetus has significant anomalies, who cut $1 million in funding for women's health services in Indiana, signed laws allowing Indiana businesses to discriminate against LGBT people, believes climate change is a myth, and supports electro shock therapy as a method of changing people's sexual orientation ('curing' LBGT).

He does not care that cutting financial support for Planned Parenthood will impact on vital health care that it provides - if it wants to provide such services, the organisation should stop providing abortions, and as long as they do, he will continue coming after it.

He might not be the international disaster that Trump may well be, but his Presidency would make life significantly worse for women, minorities and the LGBT community.

MorrisZapp · 10/01/2017 13:03

He won't last the four years. He doesn't want the job, his wife won't move into the White House, his business interests will always come first.

I keep thinking about national sadness especially such as school shootings etc. These roll around with depressing inevitability and Trump will have to comfort a nation, without a script. It's a recipe for utter carnage.

I think even his most insane supporters are going to feel very scared indeed when they realise that all the grown ups have gone home and that the bus is being driven by petulant children.

trollspoopglitter · 10/01/2017 13:13

What is scary is that his aide Kellyanne Conway went on television and said she's "concerned that somebody with a platform like Meryl Streep's is inciting people's worst instincts."

So basically, setting the tone that if you practice your freedom of speech and criticise the president, you may be inciting....

Homeland security will help fill in those dots as appropriate

MetalMidget · 10/01/2017 13:16

I bet Spitting Image would have a field day with him.

I'm pretty convinced that he's a Spitting Image puppet brought to life by dark sorcery...

How do you go from Obama to that... thing? Can you imagine Obama going on a childish Twitter spree every time someone was rude about him?

Can you imagine being in the CIA or FBI, and being terrified to give your president intelligence briefings, because you don't know if he'll massively overreact or put classified info on Twitter?

originalmavis · 10/01/2017 13:25

Anyone else remember Aubrey?

to think you should ignore people having a go at you if you are the President Elect of the USA
Megatherium · 10/01/2017 13:34

So if he does get himself impeached, health problems or assassinated, it will only prove to you that the scary dark figures behind the scenes have all the power.

I would hope that security systems will be adequate to prevent assassination, but the trouble is that, even without any conspiracy involvement, health problems and impeachment are distinctly likely. He hasn't lived a health lifestyle and you can bet he's not planning to start now, and there are all too many nasties in his past that could lead to impeachment - to say nothing of the fact that he is inherently dishonest and unethical. He is all too likely to get into something ten times worse than Watergate because he can't see any reason why he should be prevented from doing whatever he wants to do. And when he does resign or get impeached, the conspiracy theorists will ignore all of that and have a field day about those so-called "scary dark figures". If they really exist and are so powerful, you have to wonder why they ever let Trump get anywhere near being elected in the first place.

Pallisers · 10/01/2017 13:50

If he doesn't last the 4 years we end up with Pence - arguably much worse. We joke here that there isn't a gay person in the country who wouldn't take a bullet for Trump - because of the alternative.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 10/01/2017 13:56

Trump is smearing CIA, the FBI and the press and people lap it up.

Can you tell us more about 'the dark, shadowy figures behind the scenes' plotting his downfall?

Efferlunt · 10/01/2017 13:57

@maturetrumptwts is an account that takes his tweet and rewrites them as if they had been written by a proper president elect.

MitzyLeFrouf · 10/01/2017 14:05

'Can you tell us more about 'the dark, shadowy figures behind the scenes' plotting his downfall?'

The Republican Party.

MsHooliesCardigan · 10/01/2017 14:12

Has Trump managed to blackmail persuade anyone to perform at his inauguration? It's bizarre how different politics is is America. In the U.K, once your party gets a certain number of seats, you're the PM. No ceremony, no nothing. Can you imagine Theresa May being inaugurated following a mass rally with loads of people cheering and whooping followed by fireworks and Cheryl Cole and Gary Barlow performing a duet?

Spudlet · 10/01/2017 14:18

I wish people would stop calling him a toddler. I have a toddler and he's considerably more charming, noticeably less orange, and is easily distracted away from causing nuclear armageddon with a rice cake. Stop insulting toddlers! (And send supplies of Organix to the White House, his social media team might find them useful).

birdybirdywoofwoof · 10/01/2017 14:19

Ah well, why not just say that!? Grin

originalmavis · 10/01/2017 14:20

I reackon it will be the Crankees and Roy chubby Brown.

No! Grin

At this stage I bet his people fervently wish there was no inauguration party. Is there anyone left who hasn’t turned down the opportunity to appear? Orville the Duck? Steps? That woman who sang the jingle for the Shake n Vac ad!

birdybirdywoofwoof · 10/01/2017 14:41

I've got my excuses ready.
