Hi Ladies

Not strictly AIBU but I don't know what to do Sad

My DD is 5 months and not very well. She's very teary and hot. She has a temp of 38.4C which hasn't gone done after 2 doses of calpol!

What do I do? She's hasn't been sick and there's no obvious illness e.g. Rash, ear pulling etc.

She's in a sleeping bag in bed now with just a long sleeve vest on underneath, no blanket. Is that too much? Too little?

I'm at a loss and feel like crying Sad

Glad you have a plan in place OP.

Rikalaily · 05/01/2017 13:44

Scarlet fever is going around, google the rash and see if it looks like that. My friends daughter has it and it was missed by the GP until too late to give antibiotics. I hope she's feeling better soon xx

LouBlue1507 · 05/01/2017 13:47

Thank you, I don't think it's scarlet fever, DDs rash is no where near as prominent or aggressive. GP took a good look in her mouth and ears and says it's a bit sore.

How is dd? Is she drinking and seeing?

BakeOffBiscuits · 05/01/2017 20:53

MissVictoria · 05/01/2017 20:56

Making a baby wait 3 hours, even one who is probably ok, is just awful, i really hope she's feeling better soon and you can both get some rest.

Bravas · 05/01/2017 21:07

You poor things, this has gone on and on. I hope the nurse comes back soon and your dd picks up soon. It's such a worrying, stressful time when babies are poorly and can't tell you what's wrong.

LouBlue1507 · 05/01/2017 21:29

DD seems much better! Has had 3oz and then another 5oz puls wet nappies since we've been here. Still no sign of anyone! Not even a nurse!

We're giving it until 10pm and then coming home DD is really fed up and tired! She's not the only one Angry

LouBlue1507 · 05/01/2017 21:30

There's a poor baby similar age to DD who has been here since 12pm waiting! We have no hope!

BakeOffBiscuits · 05/01/2017 23:51

Oh that's dreadful. I hope you have been seen by now or at home ticked up. You must be exhausted.
Glad that's she's been drinking and seems better.
