I know it's NYE but with twins with unpredictable night time waking I just can be bothered to stay up any longer . Just messaged my cousin to wish her happy new year and that I was off to bed and she replied calling me a lightweight Hmm. Aibu to be in bed already or would you do the same bearing in mind I haven't slept more than 3 hours in a row for 11 months now !

Another one in bed here. First time since I was a kid that I've missed midnight celebrations but I'm 36 weeks pregnant which is my get out clause for EVERYThING at the moment. God I'm going to miss it!

Happy new year everyone!

Me too. Just finished reading an interesting thread about teapots. And I don't even drink teaGrin

I have zero kids, did my tax return earlier and am in the bath and will be in bed by 10:15. This is proper living. Hate NYE.

I'm up at 6 for work so off to bed shortly!

Watched some fireworks out of the bedroom window with ds and dd.

Opened a bottle of bubbly with dh

Now eating some nice Christmas chocs with said bubbly and intermittently MNing and FBing whilst he watches match of the day

Was able to watch some of the fireworks from bed so gave that a go too for a bit Xmas Smile We decided they were especially colourful this year.

I'm in bed, bedside light is off.
Had a disagreement with OH around 10pm and it's not been solved. Anyway I've wished everyone a goodnight and disappeared upstairs. I just don't have it in me to be fake and I've still got a slight hump over it
I know I'll feel better in the morning.
No shame at all in welcoming in the NY at sunrise instead of midnight.
Have a good evening sleep Smile

I'm in bed. I have a teething 6 month old and a 23month old DS who is terrified of fireworks Confused I'm hoping he sleeps through most of them but if not I'm trying to get as much sleep as possible.

We'll watch the fireworks on iplayer in the morning with a cuppa while friends and family nurse their hangovers. So rock and roll

Amithenormalone · 31/12/2016 23:33

We would be in bed but for the fact it's pointless our next door neighboursuppliers are having an all out rave currently their children are screaming and banging and there music's so loud we are praying it doesn't last much longer than midnight.

MiladyThesaurus · 31/12/2016 23:38

We're going to bed now. We never stay up til midnight on Hogmanay because I get too tired. I'm up later than usual because we were watching ant-man.
