cookieswirls · 31/12/2016 21:49

I know it's NYE but with twins with unpredictable night time waking I just can be bothered to stay up any longer . Just messaged my cousin to wish her happy new year and that I was off to bed and she replied calling me a lightweight Hmm. Aibu to be in bed already or would you do the same bearing in mind I haven't slept more than 3 hours in a row for 11 months now !

I don't even have small people as an excuse and I'm about to go to bed!

WeedlesHatOfDisappointment · 31/12/2016 22:09

Myself, dh and ds 1 and 2 (4 years and 4 months) are all in bed from a combination of being ill, being shattered and being in our own bed for the first time in over a week.

gobbynorthernbird · 31/12/2016 22:09

Happy New Year to all!

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 31/12/2016 22:09

I'm in Scotland too - and can hear the nearby pub ramping up in volume...however, I'm more than ready for bed, just waiting until my decaf tea is ready Smile My family will be horrified that I've not seen the bells...but I really couldn't care less! Grin

HRHlikeahornyponywould · 31/12/2016 22:10

It's nothing special. 2016 is well rid. Sleep tight

Mum2jenny · 31/12/2016 22:10

Happy New Year to all, I'm likely to be asleep before midnight too xx

LotsoNumbers · 31/12/2016 22:16

I'm on my own watching harry potter then might well head to bed!

Toddlerteaplease · 31/12/2016 22:20

Biggest non event of the year. Stayed up for the millennium and that's it. Working tomorrow so tucked up with cats!

Assamteaformeplease · 31/12/2016 22:21

Just got into bed . DH has a cold so has been in bed all day and DC in bed or in own rooms doing stuff 🤔Probably won't sleep though due to non stop fireworks but at least won't have a hangover tomorrow as only had 2 glasses wine .

Roussette · 31/12/2016 22:22

I'm in bed after having to give up a fun night with friends as I've been ill with flu or whatever you call this godawful coughing high temperature bug. Me and now ill DH forced down drank a bottle of fizz, ate four fat sausage rolls, and I ate half a tub of salted caramel icecream. Now feel a bit bleurghhhh

Happy New Year all x

girlelephant · 31/12/2016 22:22

We're in bed too! Hoping to be fast asleep before the bells

megletthesecond · 31/12/2016 22:22

Yanbu.

I'm a lp and my kids aren't that small any more. I'm still in bed.

alfagirl73 · 31/12/2016 22:23

I don't have a child as an excuse... but I'm going to bed in a few mins. Can't be bothered with NYE to be honest. So no - you are definitely not unreasonable!

Ilovetea33 · 31/12/2016 22:26

I'm just about to watch Million Dollar Listings with a cup of tea. Might open something alcoholic a little later though.

justanotherusername0 · 31/12/2016 22:27

In bed here with some prosecco and Netflix.
Have a toddler who will be up earrrrrly! Will be asleep before 12!

PenguinsandPebbles · 31/12/2016 22:30

I'm battling to stay awake, have eaten lots of cheese, I think one more glass of champers unless I fall asleep in it and I'm off to bed.

I'm usually quite a night owl but for some crazy reason I always suffer on NYE!

Cakeycakecake · 31/12/2016 22:32

Tucked up in bed with my baby. Can hear my twats neighbours in the garden drunken noise and now fucking fireworks. Kill me now 😑

IAmNotTheOneWhoKnocks · 31/12/2016 22:32

We have a 3-week old and I went to bed at 9pm Grin

NYE is much like any other night really!

Cakeycakecake · 31/12/2016 22:33

Did I mention my room backs onto the garden. So now I get to hear all of the wonderful drunken crap that my son previously slept through. Why oh why did I swap rooms...

Whatthefoxgoingon · 31/12/2016 22:34

I'm in bed. Will have a glass of champagne at midnight and then go to sleep. Happy new year everyone!

ThePinkOcelot · 31/12/2016 22:39

I'm still up st the moment. My dds aren't little anymore so no excuse, but I can't stay up until 12. Night night all of us light weights and proud of it!

lapsedorienteerer · 31/12/2016 22:40

YANBUXmas Grin

stoopido · 31/12/2016 22:40

I have a sick household so I am feeling relieved I am at home! I am looking forward to watching Jools Holland soon but I have never felt quite the same about it after I found out it is pre recorded in early December so they aren't really celebrating NYE with us! Blush

tappitytaptap · 31/12/2016 22:41

I'm in bed too. Have some sort of horrendous tummyache with a bit of sickness. Though had no plans anyway as staying at inlaws and 9 month old DS has not been the world's best sleeper lately! In too much pain to sleep so MNing Smile

previously1474907171 · 31/12/2016 22:49

Both in bed here too, I have been in bed all day as I am under the weather and worn out.

O/H has just crawled into bed after getting rid of the dodgy take away he ate earlier, I spat mine out without eating any as I could tell it was off, he just shovelled his fish in without chewing as usual and is now paying the price. If anyone is in NW3 I suggest you avoid the large fish restaurant with Brothers in the name as they seem to have saved the fish since before Christmas.
