Like those where the OP writes hardly anything and expects others to entertain them.

Now you go.

OP posts:
UnbornMortificadoAtChristmas · 28/12/2016 12:09

Thinly veiled benefit bashing ones.

Gets my goat Grin

theclick · 28/12/2016 12:10

The ones with no grammar or punctuation. Some people use no full stops, commas or paragraphs.

GhostOfChristmasYetToCome · 28/12/2016 12:11

Very good, Unborn Grin

Magic I agree, but one of the first posts on this thread was about people who make the exact comment you have. So clearly, not everyone agrees...

WorraLiberty · 28/12/2016 12:11

I couldn't agree more MagicChicken

Apart from a few consistently sensible, level headed posters, there are far too many who project their own bad experiences and sexist shit onto others, to be of any help at all with relationship issues.

Unless the female OP just wants to be told they're absolutely right no matter what they've done, it's just pointless.

MagicMary1 · 28/12/2016 12:12

Questions where you can google answer.

Plus drip feeds

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2016 12:12

Oh I think it's good manners that if you are going to comment on a thread then you could actually read it. If it's 22 pages long just move on if you CBA as what you say has probably already been said.

TEMPESTUOUSRIVERZ · 28/12/2016 12:17

The ones where poster comes on to ask an interesting question, another poster pops up with, "INTERESTING FIRST POST!" Err..is there a special list of topics that first time posters should only ever post on?

'Something' has to be the first post Hmm, you numpty.

WorraLiberty · 28/12/2016 12:19

Threads with TRIGGER WARNING in the title, but no clue as to what that trigger might be Confused

Domestic violence?
Child abuse?
Sexual abuse?
Spiders?
Mice?

What's the point if people have to open and read to find out?

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2016 12:20

I save 'interesting first post' for the report to MNHQ. It should be an option to tick.

Very often first posts are about something a little Hmm. No dipping their toe in gently and getting a feel for the site....

FlyingElbows · 28/12/2016 12:20

Anything which starts "So..." and then carries on for nine million unpunctuated words about a complete non issue.

However, my biggest issue is amateur psychiatry. I am very much hoping that channel 5 have a new psychiatric issue to concentrate on for the coming year because mnetters really need something other than narcissism to osmo-diagnose. Your Mil is not a narcissist just because she asked your hubby (vom) to give her a hand with something. No, you don't need to go nc because she doesn't like your choice of sofa cushions (I have seem that very situation and advice offered here). This is all topped off by that genius nugget of advice "have them sectioned". Batshit.

I do enjoy the ranty "feminists" and their acid tongued love of insulting other women though. Their complete failure to see the irony and bullish self righteousness is amusing, if gratingly tedious.

TEMPESTUOUSRIVERZ · 28/12/2016 12:20

Oh and not to be left out.....
The one where poster posts under 'Religion', please can anyone tell me where the nearest CofE etc is as I'd like to visit one, I haven't been in a while Smile. Another poster jumps in, 'Prove to me God exists, now!'

OhTheRoses · 28/12/2016 12:21

The long scenario ones about child A, Child B, Parent C and Parent D. All he said, she said, I thought they said and is it right, rude, moral offensive.

I couldn't actually give a flying frilly frumpet. Move on and laugh.

addstudentdinners2 · 28/12/2016 12:21

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant add. What did you think of the rest of my post - any of it ring true?

Well no - I never expressed an opinion so I don't know how I can be accused of putting people off feminism because of my offensively robust opinions Xmas Smile

Actually sleep threads annoy me the most but generally the answers rather than the posts themselves.

KrissyKringlefromCandyCaneLane · 28/12/2016 12:22

Thinly veiled troll hunting.

My first thread was regarding a situation a friend was in and I was concerned about the possible ramifications for her.
I got loads of "I'm sure you your friend will be fine op".

Helpful.

SusanneLinder · 28/12/2016 12:23

Stealth bragging posts. My SIL is jealous because I have a zillion pound house and room for a pony, but she is on benefits. It's fine that you have money, but discussing how much cash you have is uncouth.
Any benefit bashing posts.

Laniakea · 28/12/2016 12:23

the usual suspects:
discuss
hun/hub/bub/little one/mummies & variations
myself
end of
simples
am I pregnant?
hormones
said ... as in said item

trigger warning
boiling piss
fake names/letters ... so friend A said to I'll call her Mary

fucking idiots.

dustarr73 · 28/12/2016 12:24

People who keep going back to the same situation.Like not being fed when you are aa guest, then coming on here to moan. And then they turn on you.Just dont go,its quite simple really.

OhTheRoses · 28/12/2016 12:24

Oh dear Sparklingbrook. My apologies, haven't read the thread before posting Blush

iklboodolphRedNoseReindeer · 28/12/2016 12:26

Posters who make a snarky comment & end with 'HTH / hope that helps'

Yes, it helps me see what a completely smug berk you are.

WhiteChocolateLindorPlease · 28/12/2016 12:28

The threads where the OP posts half their life history but then refuses to give a particular piece of information because "it would be too outing." Especially annoying when it's info which is pertinant to whether they are being unreasonble or not.

I.e.

OP: I've had a row with my friend. We have lived next door to her for 6 years since I move from the Isle of Wight she is godmother to my 4 yr old triplets and I was bridesmaid at her wedding in Maui in October 2015. We had a row last week and I am now refusing to give her a lift when we attend fencing lessons. AIBU?

Next 20 posters: What was the row about?

OP: Oh I couldn't say, it would out me if she is reading this thread.

Confused

Also, anything involving a wedding invite. Just go or don't go. Why feel the need to whip MN into a frenzy because someone has had the audacity to invite you to their wedding which is too far away/ too posh/ too common/ they want money/ no children/ no partners etc etc

TEMPESTUOUSRIVERZ · 28/12/2016 12:29

Sparkling Is this in the user guidelines from MN? Or have you just created your own?

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 28/12/2016 12:30

The "All my friends are leaving me out of meet ups and not inviting me any more - I haven't done anything wrong - why are they doing this?"
"Awww OP you don't need them you sound lovely...... etc" Hmmmm... Firstly I bet you have done something, and secondly how the fuck are we supposed to know?

I also think "LTB" should be banned unless the person saying can give practical advice on how. We all know why, but doing it is incredibly fucking hard.

Laniakea · 28/12/2016 12:30

entitled
vile
disgusting
inappropriate
unprofessional (especially when referring to a non profession)
raging
fuming
shaking
sickening
sobbing/weeping/heartbroken
and it is spelt naive ffs - not nieve, naiive, naif or any other bloody variation

b o r i n g

Soubriquet · 28/12/2016 12:32

Really bring out the worst of the worse

Amandahugandkisses · 28/12/2016 12:33
