Like those where the OP writes hardly anything and expects others to entertain them.

Now you go.

OP posts:
MagicChicken · 28/12/2016 17:49

pictish YES!!!!

Bloody nutters. And then people start reading said poster's completely imaginary and fabricated scenario/take on the situation and start commenting based on that rather than on what has actually been said by the OP. And this can go on for pages.

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2016 17:50

Those threads where instead of bothering to explain anything there is swathes of C&P text or links to loads of wordy studies that the poster actually thinks everyone will eagerly click on to read and have their mind instantly changed.

Bitofacow · 28/12/2016 17:53

Sparklingbrook are you telling me other people don't read them?

I'm gutted.

Trills · 28/12/2016 17:54

Good one treaclesoda - also the people who can't understand that people carry weight differently and somehow imagine that all people over 10 stone are "fat".

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2016 17:55

I don't read them Bitofacow. I expect everyone else does without exception. Wink Grin

Backt0Black · 28/12/2016 17:55

Posting in an inappropriate area 'for traffic'. As in 'not so much an AIBU but posting here for traffic'. Er .... what's the point of topics at all then?Hmm

incessant self 'bumping' of threads. Awful and demanding .... may as well scream 'answer me IMMEDIATELY'

Both make me think 'fuck off, why is your non-issue so urgent?'

Bitofacow · 28/12/2016 17:57

Trills I'm fat!

This thread has not been good to me. I feel like the scales have been ripped from my eyes. Wow.

WorraLiberty · 28/12/2016 17:57

Agree Pictish and Magic

Sometimes by the middle of the thread, nothing anyone says even resembles what the OP actually said.

PandoraMole · 28/12/2016 18:00

Any threads with people moaning about

Getting cabin fever cos they're stuck at home
The fact that their home isn't competent perfect for Christmas

...and the like.

DD and I are currently living with my parents until my divorce and house sale is sorted out (EA so unable to stay in the family home). We are going insane with the stress and arguments and would give most things to be suffering cabin fever in a less than perfect home of our own right now.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 28/12/2016 18:02

I'm on a roll now...posts grumbling about teenager non-problems...

"My 15yo so is a little shit!!!! He comes in from school, only speaks to me for 15 minutes before going to play on his Xbox, is on his phone a lot and doesn't speak as much as he used to when we have dinner. He only does the hoovering and dish washing and would rather see his girlfriend than great aunty Bertha. AIBU to be furious, ground him for 2 months and take away all his electronics?"

The worst thing is people actually agree with them. FFS he's a teenager, they are gonna be moody and grumpy and not like they used to be when they were 4yo. What did you expect, get your arse over to the teen boards where mothers are being assaulted by their teens and get a bit of perspective

Lostwithinthehills · 28/12/2016 18:05

One of the thread titles that annoy me the most are the 'Am I pregnant?' ones, I never click on them. How on earth could we know? Why not use an easily available pregnancy test? If the results are just too faint to tell try a second test.

treaclesoda · 28/12/2016 18:05

Oh and on the cabin fever issue, the assumption that everyone lives within walking distance of a park where they can take the kids to let off steam and have a run round. There is no park in the village where I live. No open space to run round. Barely any footpaths for safe walking. But I'm a lazy parent for not taking them to the non existent park every day. Grin

user1471517900 · 28/12/2016 18:08

Thanks fellow mummies for all this advice. I won't change anything at the moment but I showed this to my DH and he agrees you're all very clever little mummies.

Grin (sorry!)

OP posts:
SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 28/12/2016 18:10

OP I think you should print this thread out and show it to your GP.

MagicChicken · 28/12/2016 18:11

Oh and the 'just my little family' posters.

treaclesoda · 28/12/2016 18:12

I've really opened the floodgates now because I keep thinking of more and more.

'My sister is a health visitor and she says that if she visits a house with a newborn and it's clean and tidy it's a definite red flag because obviously the parents are concentrating on cleaning not on their baby'.

Really? I mean, really? Hmm

Disinfected from top to bottom, everyone wearing a haz-mat suit and no furniture would be a red flag. Dishes washed and clean towels in the bathroom, presumably not so much...

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 28/12/2016 18:16

I nearly choked on my Gin (I really did ) when someone suggested printing off the thread and showing it th their GP.

Who thinks that's a good idea ShockShock

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 28/12/2016 18:19

If I'm bloody waiting past my appt time and it's because people are in there showing the Dr 17 pages of AIBU, I'm going to be very cross.

Blacksox · 28/12/2016 18:24

Is this a line? OMG. Yes. Or no. Look yourself!

How old do I look? Just fishing for compliments.

TobleroneBoo · 28/12/2016 18:26

I hate the ones that have a title, then
The first line of the post is " just that really"

Then the rest of the post is a big rambling explanation! So it's not " just that really"!! Angry

RichardBucket · 28/12/2016 18:27

You are responsible for buying me a new keyboard because I just literally spat my Aldi prosecco all over it!

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 28/12/2016 18:28

Well, when you go back to Aldi for more, Richard, be sure to pop on here first and ask what else you NEED to buy!

GhostOfChristmasYetToCome · 28/12/2016 18:40

Oooh, sorry if it's been said already, and not threads but responses...

"Fuck of to the far side of fuck and when you get there fuck of some more" - it was entertaining to begin with but now it seems to be something people jump on to to prove they know the MN lingo

"It looks like the scales are falling from your eyes" - scales falling from eyes? What fucking scales? Or do I just not get it? (I do understand what it means, I just think it's a really fucking annoying expression that doesn't exist outside of MN)

"Run for the hills. The hills are --> that way" - Just Grr...

Cherrysoup · 28/12/2016 18:43

The ones where pp put their own interpretation on what has been written and makes a very wrong conclusion.
