They're on holiday for the next two weeks

Could I possibly take a parcel in for them?

And then this fucker arrived Hmm

It weighs s bloody ton, I have nowhere to put it and it's stuck in my dining room! I can't get it up the stairs (was going to push it under my bed)

That's hardly a bloody "parcel" is it!

No cat is actually lovely cat. Excellent mouser. She eats two a day on the kitchen floor. You can almost set your clock by her. One in the morning and one about 4pm

I live on a farm so that's a salient point

You cat has totally claimed ownership of the box now, making herself very at home there.

Build the thing and use it as a snack dispenser/Lego storage unit/hostess trolley/car ride-on. Then post many many pictures Smile

ipswichwitch · 24/12/2016 09:26

Ffs stupid auto correct, should say cat ride-on

She eats two a day on the kitchen floor

I am officially impressed.

Most of our 8 are (much needed due to "Italian Farmland and Countryside" isssues) excellent mousers.

But when we first came here we had a big, fluffy proper breed cat (Persian). He ran away from the mice. It was the only time his speed went above amble.

Is that parcel not at risk of being nibbled in the night by uncaught mice as Loki sleeps ?

ilongforlustre · 24/12/2016 09:35

MY neighbour has a cat that colour called Loki!

We are not by a farm though and I have not gone away for two weeks whilst ordering disproportionate parcels!

Loki is the coolest cat name ever.

Oh your neighbours are BU.

YouTheCat · 24/12/2016 09:38

As the beautiful Loki has rubbed themselves on the parcel, it now belongs to them. It is the law of cat.

Falalalafffffffttt · 24/12/2016 09:40

OP, I love the colour of your dining room. What is that? And your cat is gorgeous too.

Hellooooitsme · 24/12/2016 09:46

Yes the first thing I saw in the picture was a cat. It made me smile.

AlpacaPicnic · 24/12/2016 09:52

Oh I wish I could post pictures but I'm at work, so I'll do them later.
I treated myself to a new fridge-freezer and tumble dryer in November. They were delivered by two very nice men who put them in my kitchen for me. I showed the nice men out, walked back into kitchen... cat on top of the box for the fridge freezer acting all 'I've been here for hours, this is where I now live'

Loki is absolutley beautiful!

0nline · 24/12/2016 09:55

MY neighbour has a cat that colour called Loki!

Aha ! You big pass the massive parcel GITFACE !
thank you for making Lovely Loki on mumsnet possible

We are not by a farm though and I have not gone away for two weeks whilst ordering disproportionate parcels!

... oh.

Do you have pictures of the other gorgeous Loki ?

Only need them to compare to the original gorgeous Loki see if this disclaimer is in fact true, or a cunning big fat fib, to hide your identity as the Pass The Massive Parcel Gitface Neighbour.

It has nothing to do with liking pictures of pretty fluffy kitties.

ilongforlustre · 24/12/2016 10:02

Ha ha.

Sadly no pictures of other gorgeous Loki. Although I love him, I have a dog so he obviously hates me and I only catch fleeting glimpses of him and he rushes by at top speed presumably giving me the middle claw. Sometimes his delightfully grumpy face can be seen scowling at me from the top of other neighbours shed.

I don't get on with other neighbour (not Loki owner) and Loki likes to use their garden as his personal pooing place...making him my favourite animal ever!

user1481201991 · 24/12/2016 10:10

Just had a courier at my door with a medium parcel (about the size of three average cats). He asked if I could take it in for the neighbour. No problem, I had enough space and cheerfully agreed.

After handing it over, he then said there was a SECOND parcel on the van! Luckily it wasn't massive but thanks to you lot I had visions of a bed or sofa being unloaded as the "second parcel!"

Minesril · 24/12/2016 10:11

If it's something they're going to keep outside, you could always assemble it and leave it outside their house!

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 24/12/2016 10:17

So is this how parcels will be sized from now on?

Small parcel - one cat's sized
medium - up to three
large - four to eight
taking the piss - nine+ cat's sizes.

Pollyxcx · 24/12/2016 10:19

People......the parcel has gone!

Someone just knocked and said "neighbour has asked if I could get there parcel for them" think he is looking after their house.

I'm glad you all love Loki. If I knew where she was I'd give you all another pic

You neighbour has been lurking here.

user1481201991 · 24/12/2016 10:22

Yup, "cat" is the new official unit of measurement for parcels. Should make the Royal Mail sizing guide a bit easier to follow.

8misskitty8 · 24/12/2016 10:31

Think neighbour has seen this thread ! Lol.
Poor Loki, bet he thought Christmas had come early for him with that package.

PleaseNotTrump · 24/12/2016 10:32

YOU LIVE ON A FARM??? Why all the fuss then? Just stick it in a barn or bailer twine it to a gate.

Nice cat though.

IWouldLikeToSeeTheseMangoes · 24/12/2016 10:33

You should ask if when they open it can you have the box back for Loki bet she would love it hours of fun Grin

dowhatnow · 24/12/2016 10:34

Nope the parcel has been stolen by someone who recognised you from the details you've posted on this thread. Nice detective skills there, thief....
