They're on holiday for the next two weeks

Could I possibly take a parcel in for them?

And then this fucker arrived Hmm

It weighs s bloody ton, I have nowhere to put it and it's stuck in my dining room! I can't get it up the stairs (was going to push it under my bed)

That's hardly a bloody "parcel" is it!

Is there really nowhere else to put it?

Can you drape it with a tablecloth and use it as an occasional hallstand or table? Xmas Grin

Pollyxcx · 24/12/2016 06:32

I can't move it

It's really heavy

We will all commiserate with you as long as you post more pictures of your amazingly cute and gorgeous cat :)

EveOnline2016 · 24/12/2016 06:46

Lovely cat.

Could use it as a drinks counter.

Pollyxcx · 24/12/2016 06:51

The box says 74 piece double sided storage bin rack on wheels Hmm

Not even worth stealing Grin

Champagneformyrealfriends · 24/12/2016 06:53

What's your cats name? She's gorgeous Smile

Champagneformyrealfriends · 24/12/2016 06:54

Do you have any bin bags? Get someone to help you move it to your shed and stick a bin bag under it, and one over it maybe?

Allchangeathestressmotel · 24/12/2016 06:55

This happened to us but the other way around. Neighbours took in a parcel for 'us', a huge cupboard. Only it wasn't for us, it had our address but someone else's name. Very had screwed up, the original purchaser had recently moved, gave wrong address, attempted to change it, they wouldn't let them, sent it out knowing full well it was going to wrong place. Very took 3 weeks to arrange to collect it, and then didn't turn up. Eventually the purchaser turned up having joined the dots up himself. Was a joke and all the time I had a bloody huge parcel in my kitchen.

GeekyWombat · 24/12/2016 06:55

Her little white toes! I'm not a cat person even and I think she's amazing!

Thank goodness for this delivery or we'd never have seen her

wowfudge · 24/12/2016 06:56

I know the kind of thing. Put it together and make use of it as extra storage until they get back?

Love the fact your car looks as though she's about to turn off the light in the second photo.

God think of the Lego you could store in that. That would be the business when it comes to Lego storage. And then you could wheel it round the house collecting all the Lego that's been strewn, and popping the bits straight into their designated storage box according to whether they were a red 4 piece or a grey 2-er or whatever your carefully reasoned Lego storage rationale was. OP - open it and use it for Lego. If you don't have Lego, buy some.

SouthWindsWesterly · 24/12/2016 07:08

Goto Argos, get a dart board, attach to side and have a few games after the Christmas dinner.

Or alternatively message the neighbour and tell them they were ripping the piss because 74 storage bin units are massive

Pollyxcx · 24/12/2016 07:11

Hostess trolley?

Imagine the snacks I could fit in it

OccasionalNachos · 24/12/2016 07:13

" If you don't have Lego, buy some."

Hassled Grin

I bet the cat would enjoy the storage unit as well as the box, OP. Definitely claim ownership & deny all knowledge.

In oversized box stories, I once ordered two pairs of circular knitting needles - easily would have fitted in a small Jiffy bag - that arrived in a 40cm square box stuffed with those air pillow things. Ridiculous.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 24/12/2016 07:16

Hassled - you are a genius. I'm going to order me one of them for all the feckin' Lego in our house.

Pollyxcx - if you can just let me have your address so I can get it delivered: I'm away over New Year and will need someone to look after it for me Xmas Grin

Love the cat btw; can't believe no one's mentioned him - they're all obsessed with that box... Xmas Wink

fruitbats · 24/12/2016 07:24

I know it's not the point, but this thread has made me lol Xmas Grin

Merry Christmas all helpful

I stopped taking parcels in for my neighbours. It was assumed because I dont work through ill health, that I'll be in all day every day, because I obviously don't have a life to have, or children to take to school or several bloody medical appointments to attend to, they started not even asking, just assuming I'll be in and asking the couriers to deliver to me instead Hmm

I suffer from anxiety and usually wont answer the door of an unexpected caller. They only had to do this once, where I wouldn't answer as didn't know who it was and wasn't expecting anyone. Cheeky sods have started using the other neighbour for their constant stream of parcels instead now! I'm glad I stopped because I saw the next delivery being squished in. Two children's beds. I dont have room to store that in my poky house!

Your neighbours are definitely taking the piss and your cat is beautiful.

QueenMortificado · 24/12/2016 08:00

Love the cat btw; can't believe no one's mentioned him

About 18 people have mentioned him, the cat has got more attention than the box! Grin

bumblingmum · 24/12/2016 08:02

In the neighbours defence, maybe they didn't ask for it to be delivered to you but the courier wanted rid of it so just asked you? Courier probably didn't want to lump it around anymore and wanted his deliveries done.
I would wrap it in bin bags and leave it in their garden/shed. Can you contact them via FB/text as another neighbour might have a key?
Also not a cat person but cat is super cute!

myusernamewastaken · 24/12/2016 08:03

Im laughing at the posters who have been duped into taking in beds and sofa beds for there neighbours........sorry not much help x

Is it a poo cube? (Not sure if nayone else remembers that thread...)

I remember that thread. Grin

Meanwhile, despite the lovely cat, this thread has reminded me that if I'm asked to take in a parcel, I need to check the size before accepting. I have no storage room spare. But I do have nice, considerate neighbours.

tibbawyrots · 24/12/2016 08:15

Beautiful cat.

I now want one of those storage thingys. I am so easily sold! Advertisers dream, I am. Xmas Wink

NotYoda · 24/12/2016 08:16

I tried to colour code the DSs' Lego once. I nearly lost my mind after it got messed up a few hours in Grin

NotYoda · 24/12/2016 08:18

I got a 20 cm tall figurine from my grandmother-in-law, packed into a box that size.
