whenever I see these wannabe "mumtrenpreneurs" types I just think get a job. 5 hours a week NMW would make you more money and be far more productive than "crafting" shit that will ultimately go in the bin!!

I think the hedgehog is cute. One of the best examples of that turn a book into something random craze (I really really dislike people chopping books up though- I'm nothing if not conflicted)

The superhero badges though are awful.

You can't make much profit from these sort of crafts though. One thing to sell extras of things you have enjoyed making (I'm thinking knitting or paintings etc) but not to rely on it for income.

This is making me feel all guilty about thinking these are a bit shit...stop tormenting method way!

I always feel a bit conflicted about these FB tat things when I see them. They crop up on my local group as well.

On the one hand, many of them do merit a 'WTF' - especially when comparing the quality against the RRP. Some of them are so bad they are hilarious.

OTOH I then end up feeling like a bit of a cow, because I suspect that in most cases it's just someone trying to make a bit of extra cash.

These make me cry with laughter every time they crop up on my Facebook feed.

Every secret santa I'm terrified I'll get a glitter class - I like wine and glitter but not together!

At least you are only tainted by looking at this shit on the screen. Today I received a 'beautiful glass frosted in glitter' and it came with a mini bottle of wine also frosted in glitter and a pack of 4 four ferrero rocher. All came in a cardboard box which had obviously been pre-used as there's a bit of a label stuck on it which they obviously couldn't peel off and packed in straw I assume they stole from the hamster. There was also a business card with FB website extolling 'these and other wonderful gifts to suit any occasion.' Shame I can't touch the glass - it's equivalent to running my nails down a blackboard.

The wonky magnets and glitter glasses, though - no excuse for those! I generally work on the assumption that if something looks as though I could make it I am crap at crafts then expecting someone to buy it seems, erm, optimistic.
