I was given one of those hedgehogs last Christmas. It was made by my 7yo niece and she was so proud of it. It's been on display all year in dd2's bedroom as she liked it so much.

I always look for my sister's stuff on these threads because she's made some right tat as well as some amazingly beautiful things. Strangely, she sells more of the tat than the lovely stuff Confused

MrsBobDylan · 23/12/2016 23:21

I'm completely over my earlier guilt and have taken to sharing this thread with my family on our journey up to on laws for Christmas.

The roadkill hedgehog and kinder Santa on a kit Kat sleigh, together with the bauble and the glittery Nescafe jars has had us all pissing ourselves. I love them all, but those are my favourites. Thank you for sharing.

QuackDuckQuack · 23/12/2016 23:29

The hedgehog that faffalotty posted is grim - it looks like it has scabies.

The execution of the scrabble letters one is exquisite - the hand drawn S just blends right in.

bloodyteenagers · 23/12/2016 23:29

BE careful people. The fb tat does get sold. I have been given some baubles as an olive branch.
They are fucking hideous. Would post them but our names are really unusual.

NameChanger22 · 23/12/2016 23:33

I'm feeling pretty sad for that wounded hedgehog. Someone needs to look after it.

theluckiest · 23/12/2016 23:34

Oh I want to look at tat!!! How do you find these wonders on FB? Is there a special club to join or do I just search for 'cheap tat'?

RachelRagged · 23/12/2016 23:36

aint Xmas Smile Xmas Grin

QueSera · 23/12/2016 23:51

This thread is a real eye-opener Confused wtaf???

QueenArseClangers · 23/12/2016 23:54

My DH just said 'Why does it say 5 am on that scrabble thing? Is it a special decoration for when you get up early to set off in holiday?' Grin

lalalalyra · 24/12/2016 00:01

I know someone who sells the glitter glasses and she sells loads!

She crafts other, beautiful, stuff, but she says people just won't pay for a crocheted blanket or a patchwork quilt. So, she makes tat, sells it at a profit and uses the money to fund her crafting!

She had something ridiculous like 40 odd glitter glass orders for Christmas. Yet the only person who enquirered about the blankets she makes called her a money grabbing con artist when she quoted him!

SausageSoda · 24/12/2016 09:08

Have never tried drinking from one but imagine one sip from a glitter glass would end up with a mouthful of glitter and floaters in your drink. Eugh.

GravyAndShite · 24/12/2016 09:56

This thread is horrible. There is so much beneficial art therapy going on at the moment. Couple that with the fact that financial worries often contribute to mental health issues.... it doesn't take a genius to realise that some compassion in this area wouldn't go amiss. Hmm

HerBluebiro · 24/12/2016 10:00

Lala thanks to truly cheap mass production we have no idea how much crafts cost. Just the cost of material let alone time.

Doesn't excuse such rudeness. But explains his surprise. Still a twat to be so rude

SuburbanRhonda · 24/12/2016 10:12

The vagina ornament looks very well made.

Callaird · 24/12/2016 10:13

These are awful and not that cheap! I could understand some people buying these gifts if they were cheap as secret Santa type presents but they are so expensive.

My three year old charge wanted to make soap for presents this year, I think I'll encourage home to make more and sell them next year!!

Muddlingthroughtoo · 24/12/2016 13:21

Gravyandshite, are you one of the FB crafters Hmm

GravyAndShite · 24/12/2016 15:19

nNo I'm Not a fb crafter muddlingthroughtoo interesting screenname given the topic. But my neighbour is and I know a little bit about her journey. Enough for me to consider threads like this particularly cuntish.

Love this thread. Been waiting for it...

haveacupoftea · 28/12/2016 00:55

Lol...whoever painted that shovel is actually a good artist...they should try painting on things that aren't shovels!

gravyandshite no one would be laughing at the crafting if people weren't trying to sell them, often at ridiculous prices Hmm i'm sure most of us have had a go at creating little things of dubious quality but very few of us try to make profit out of it.

LemonyFresh · 28/12/2016 00:59

I wouldn't even want this if it was free.
