To really fucking hate him?

There is this guy in my life called Henry. He's not as slim or stylish as a "younger model", his face is always red too which looks really unattractive. However, his...attachment is rather large.

We got on really well in the early days when everything was brand new, but now I don't like it when he shows up. He's always getting in my way and I'm always banging into him. If it's not the smell he leaves behind, it's small crumbs or dust. He's noisy and don't even get me started on when he gets bunged up.

AIBU and should I LTB?

We've got his brother George living here. He also used to reek of dog (even though we don't have a dog!) but we replaced his filter (cheap) and now he smells fresh.

downwardfacingdog · 22/12/2016 14:16

... he still falls over a lot though

James is a wonderful chap.

Miele is much better than Henry. Ours is red and sucks so hard it removes the underlay from the gripper rods. Henry never did that.

My old housemate used to joke you could get yourself off on a Dyson handle.

I'm surprised to be first on here with this, but I do love it:

We've got Hetty lodging here. I recently bought her a special pet hair brush thingy for Christmas, and I must say she does seem to have bucked her ideas up since.

She does smell a bit like dog though. What are these perfume disks of which pp's speak?

Gingernaut · 22/12/2016 17:19

I've got James.

Same size motor as Henry, but smaller.

He sucks so hard he lifts the carpet up. Angry, he also lacks Henry's cord winder.

The cord keeps getting stuck on corners, under the skirting boards and Henry won't even come through a door without his stupid little face peering round the door frame.

Luckily, he can suck when he's off his castors and rolling around on his back.

I can take out the pipes and do stairs with him but I am not liking the whole 20 feet of cord extended but going nowhere because the cord is stuck going round a corner. Somewhere.

Henry was smelly until I spiked him with Zoflora.

Badcat666 · 22/12/2016 17:35

Screw Dyson... I had a Dyson pet one... fucker.

His arteries would clog up at the sight of anything larger than a speck of dust and die on me constantly. It also liked to throw itself to the floor like an Am Dram student auditioning for a death part if I tried to use its tiny flexible attachment.

And it had a tiny cord.

Was a nightmare trying to do open tube surgery to remove a blockage as they were very thin and hard to unblock, even with implements such as knitting needles.... .

Used to have to sweep up and THEN use it, overpriced pain in the arse.

Now have a GTech.. a lovely well behaved GTech that sits upright like a good puppy when not in use and doesn't cause me any concerns or have any accidents on the floor and eats ALL it's food.

Chippednailvarnishing · 22/12/2016 17:38

He just keeps breeding too...
