To really fucking hate him?

There is this guy in my life called Henry. He's not as slim or stylish as a "younger model", his face is always red too which looks really unattractive. However, his...attachment is rather large.

We got on really well in the early days when everything was brand new, but now I don't like it when he shows up. He's always getting in my way and I'm always banging into him. If it's not the smell he leaves behind, it's small crumbs or dust. He's noisy and don't even get me started on when he gets bunged up.

AIBU and should I LTB?

I used to date him! My new chap also sucks but in a good way.

Henry went off with a women I met online who had previously been with another Henry but her old one was on his last legs - or wheels.

mummydawn07 · 22/12/2016 12:53

lol I didn't actually get the op until I read comments ( late to the party ) Grin this did make me laugh a lot.. I also have a henry we are great friends apart from when I have to remove his filled sack

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 22/12/2016 12:53

My henry dies, basically it overheated so I thought it was broken and left it outside, it got rained on. then came back to life, then died again

that's really fucking interesting!

but boy do they suck and are amazing for cleaning upholstery and shelves

I miss him, a lot

AnnieAnoniMouse · 22/12/2016 12:55

My Henry is very good in the bedroom (in fact in all rooms Xmas Wink), he's very enthusiastic, I'd never swap him for another!

Yes, he's a little rotund, but hey, pots & kettles!

I did succumb to the temptation of an easy playmate - no strings attached. If I treat him like the half arsed lay about he is, then we get on fine, if I expect him to be as good as Henry we fall out. I blame his parents Vax & Cordless.

Chippednailvarnishing · 22/12/2016 12:56

He just looks so smug, as for all his mates and their various different offerings, I can take 'em or leave 'em.

LittleBearPad · 22/12/2016 12:56

Come on livia. Cheer up.

Xmas Grin
LittleBearPad · 22/12/2016 12:57

Do not replace him with Dyson. Lazy bugger and very heavy.

loobyloo1234 · 22/12/2016 12:58

Well I quite like Henry Blush He's served me well anyway Grin

And Livia jeez ... lighten up

LuluLovesFruitcakes · 22/12/2016 13:02

I fucking hate Henry. And his poxy sister. Angry

Kicked Dropped them both down the stairs on more than one occasion. And they both stink something awful and a bugger to clean properly!

Serialweightwatcher · 22/12/2016 13:03

I like Henry .... when eldest ds was tiny he used to spot Henrys in any shop cupboard, even if it was just the hose and shout 'henry, henry' ... when I was pregnant with second ds he wanted to call him Henry!!! Didn't happen ... had to have Henrys ever since for the emotional connection Grin

Scottishthreeberry16 · 22/12/2016 13:03

Why post this now? Of all the times to post! Please remember, people, a Henry is not just for xmas. It's for life - the fucker just won't kick the bucket. Also, my Henry's attachment keeps pulling off - I strongly suspect it's just a strap-on.

Serialweightwatcher · 22/12/2016 13:04

Btw Henry is not a bad name, it's just I didn't want second ds to think he had been named after a vacuum cleaner!

LaurieMarlow · 22/12/2016 13:09

I had a fling with a Henry once. I quite enjoyed it. Lots of enthusiasm and stamina. Plus he always made me smile.

Swapped him for the more suave Dyson, but I'm not sure if that was a good move or not. He's got more social cache, but he's a bit cold and sterile. I miss the cheery enthusiasm.

Henry's cousin George lives with us, he is green and likes to suck up liquid from the carpets. He seems fine although he is a bit weird.

He is green because he is envious of the Dyson because it is used more often.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 22/12/2016 13:14

I used to like Henry, we were pretty good together, but then he died and I was a bit too quick to replace him with the new model.

New Henry is a year, he spends most of his time lying in the floor smiling at me and not doing his Fucking job properly.

He's going on freecycle in the new year and I'm getting me a Dyson. Nobber.

Nameforsaken · 22/12/2016 13:14

I actually thought you were talking about santa Blush

ILikeyourHairyHands · 22/12/2016 13:14

Twat, he is a twat not a year!!

RandomMess · 22/12/2016 13:17

Forget Henry and Dyson get a Miele... no filters to clean, wash or replace just go back to using bags, clean, efficient, light...

Even my builder was very impressed at just how fab the cheap model was that I bought!

gamerchick · 22/12/2016 13:22

Ah I love a Henry

BushyBushyTinsel · 22/12/2016 13:44

This thread has made me lol thank you for cheering me up Grin

Yourarejokingme · 22/12/2016 13:51

I hate my dyson and now want a Henry but not a Hetty as I have heard horror stories of her not being so good on the stairs.

witchofzog · 22/12/2016 13:58

Poor Henry. You dont deserve him. You deserve a Dyson cos they are complex difficult fuckers. You need a degree to understand some of the older Dysons. You will appreciate poor Henry then but by that time it will be too late. Yabvfu 😂

helennotsomadnow · 22/12/2016 14:08

Hetty is great, a bit smelly, didn't know that was an issue need to find a perfume disc

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 22/12/2016 14:12

I sometimes think DH loves Henry more than me but at least he's doing the vacuuming

Tenshidarkangel · 22/12/2016 14:13

I'm always making him tipsy. I yank him too hard. It's a love/hate relationship.
