To ask how often you do 'it' if married with kids?

DH and I are pretty lazy in this respect nowadays. Just wondered what other people's 'normal' is?

I see a few of you are daytime shaggers. We have always been a 'nighttime and in bed' type of couple (fine with that) but how does daytime action, well, get started?! I literally have no idea. Is it as simple as saying, 'fancy it?' I think my DH would faint at the shock.....

Well if we are going for day time action I usury go in for a snog and then slip my hands down his pants. He gets the idea fairly quickly.

OP, we were once a week for years, twice when TTC. Only fairly recently been having more and still not sure if it's just a long phase! I also have no idea how to start shagging or doing more in the daytime (limited by DC / work with that to be fair).

1-2 times a week at the moment. We are married with a 3yo. I think we'd both like it to be more frequent but we both work full time in stressful jobs and seem to be permanently shattered since having DD, who has only recently started sleeping through the night.

We can't really shag in the daytime as we're at work all week and on weekends DD is always with us and isn't old enough yet that we can just leave her unsupervised...At least I don't think we could, hadn't really considered it. Those of you who are daytime shaggers, how old are your DC? and do you farm them out to grandparents/friends for a bit or just lock yourselves in the bedroom and leave them to it?

1-2 a week. Very rarely at night in bed. DH and I often have Wednesdays off (he works from home and I'm a student) so after breakfast and food shopping we usually have some free time. Or on the sofa when kids are in bed. Sometimes weekend mornings if kids are all downstairs playing Xbox or whatever (ages 6-10). Yesterday DH and I were upstairs getting ready to go out to separate things with kids and squeezed a very quick one while they watched the Simpsons!

About 3 times a week but can vary if we're not engaging in the whole act there's certainly other stuff going on

Lately we've been managing 4-5 times a week. We have gone a year without after the birth of my daughter.

Recently loads. More times than there are days in the week.

yorkshapudding our DC are 16,12, 6 and 4 during the weekend eldest is usually working, 12 yo wears headphones a lot and is often out with friends and the other two play downstairs and our bedroom is in the loft.
During the week a delightful aspect of being a SAHM to school aged children is that when DH is off work we can drop the kids off and go back to bed.

We aim for once a week but it probably ends up being once a fortnight to be honest. Not done it for a few weeks now due to being ill.

When we first met it was seven times in one night as our record!

Going through a rough patch in that department at the mo. Haven't done it in about 2.5 weeks. I've been ill though.

At least 3-4 times a week when it isn't my period and we haven't got whatever lurgy is going round toddler group.

We haven't done it in about 3 months I had an implant put in and it appears to have completely killed my sex drive. I should probably have it taken out but then I would have to deal with horrendous periods again.

Every day. Been together 22 years, 3 dcs, aged 8, 5 and 7 months. If dp has a days leave during the school day we'll take the opportunity to pop up for a bit of daytime fun when baby's napping. Hasn't always been so often, but I was sterilized after my last dc and I've been liberated of artificial hormone affects on my body and got my libido back big time.

Formerly about once a week, but we've agreed that's not enough and we'll make time every day no matter how tired (baby doesn't sleep through yet).

Oh and seven times is also our record from earlier in our relationship and fun though it was, walking to work after was painful

Oh dear. I didn't want to post after reading these yesterday and I'm no more reassured today! But here goes... a few times a year. There. I've said it. Currently not for about 6 months... it's something which we've always struggled with (initially him and now, post DC, me) and the less we do it the less we can be bothered. I know. Not good. It's amazing we've had two kids really. Almost 100% hit rate!

Been together 21 years married for 13 years 2 dd's 12,13 and at least twice a week. Before the kids twice a day but he's 50 soon

We are in the every day camp, unless I am on ridiculous fourteen hour night shifts when we can't... children are six, four and one, so it is usually evenings once they are all asleep. Happy to miss an hours sleep for it tbh, sleep deprived anyway to a bit less kip makes little difference, but the glowy connected feeling a decent shag gives us is all good. We both get a bit tetchy if we go too long without...

Married with baby DD so at the moment it's once a week. Would like it more but we can't find the time

Been married 17 years have 16 year old and 10 year old, we do it about twice a day so give or take 14 times a week. Reading some of these responses I feel I may have a problem now
