WIBU to wake up my kitten because he kept me up all night? *pics*

2:30am he comes purring into my face, nibbling at my chin. Wanted to play but I managed to convince him (by stroking him) to go back to sleep. Then he tried again at 3:30 so I got up and played for a while, before giving him a little bit of chicken and headed back for bed. Forget it. So I got up properly at 4:30am and have felt like a zombie all day.

He, however, has been crashed out for hours this afternoon looking all cute So should I go up and poke him awake as an act of revenge? 😏 do not be fooled by his photos where he tries to look angelic

We have 2 persians, although they're not kittens we have some tricks up our sleeves to prevent midnight meowling.
We feed them a wet sheba pouch about an hour before bedtime to fill their tummies (giving them the hour to do the inevitable cat toilet), run them ragged at night before bed with a favourite toy (before the sheba!), put classic FM on while we're in bed, and have a large bowl to free feed them biscuits/kibble during the night.

Cato, your Persian is almost as cute as my pair. Mine are pretty good at night apart from the snoring, noisy drinking from their cup, sitting on my head, and flossing their teeth on my hair. Stayed with my parents the other night and their boy is a totally different kettle of fish. Snuggles are demanded at 0300, and hands pounced on at 0600.

Until I joined Mumsnet back in May or June, I absolutely loathed cats and couldn't understand why people get so soppy over them. Then I found myself actively seeking out accidentally stumbling across cat threads such as this one, and for the last three months or so, I keep catching myself wondering what if? From day one I said we should shut him in the hallway where he'd have lots of room with toys and access to his food and litter tray. But, oh no, that would be cruel! So now we have these shenanigans to deal with.

He has access to toys, kibble biscuits, water and litter box and I do feed him some chicken before bed...after playing with him all evening. I'm hoping last night was a one off ha bloody ha

I know I've now turned into one of those women... the sort who spends hours looking at funny cat videos and spending small fortunes on "things he might like". It's a bloody CAT fgs 😭

My Mum went to Portugal on holiday and came round announcing she had presents......... a pack of biscuits for DH to "take to work", and a tin of local sardines for the cat!!!

lol, i bought my two cats christmas presents. There is a company that sell cardboard cubes for cats.. you can stack them and everything. So yes.. i bought them one each!

Here is my pair of renegades plotting together to keep me on my toes.

My boyfriend-scaring kitty fell in love with a cat toy mouse that ASDA sold. Only, he lost it and asda had stopped selling them. He cried for a week. So much so that I emailed the stockist and begged for a new one
