Our new house doesn't have a shower, we just have a bath. It's also on a water meter.

Dh has said he wants me to have a shower at the leisure centre, I do an exercise class Monday Thursdays. By Sunday I feel like stuff is growing on me.

Yes it's completely ridiculous. Just take shallow baths daily, don't fill the tub, you won't use anymore water than in a shower.

Oh my god that's grim. We're on a water meter as a family of three. We have at least one bath or shower every day each, dishwasher goes on every day, washing machine 5-7 times per week and our water bill is £36 per month.

I'm also water metered. I still clean myself and family daily. Dishwasher at least once a day. And washing machine. And shock horror I water my plants.

Yeah well we did need to live somewhere. I could explain more but I don't think I'll bother to be honest.

I don't think the question should be 'How many baths is it normal to have per week?' but 'Does my husband have any right to tell me how and when I can wash?' And the answer is no, he absolutely doesn't.

FWIW, we are about to get a water meter fitted in our new house because our water bills were cheaper in our old house (where we had a meter, and where I used to take baths almost every day), than in our new house (where we don't, and where I probably shower more often than bathe).
